Autumn's POV
Jake stared at me as if I were crazy. He looked between me and Scarlett.
I was shocked and hurt, "You actually have to think about it?" I shook my head in disbelief, "Well, I'll make it easier for you. I'll leave."
I left him gaping even more like a fish.
"Autumn!" he dashed behind me trying to chase me. I reached the bottom of the stairs where he grabbed my arm. "Autumn, wait,-"
"Don't worry Jake, I won't go far. I'll live in the guest house for now until we can finally get a divorce. I don't know why I imagined you as the same Jake I fell in love with, I don't know if it's really worth still loving you," it hurt even more to say it out loud. I bit my lip not wanting to cry. I looked him directly in the eyes before tearing my arm from his grip.
I went to my room and packed all my things in a daze. He didn't come see me or talk me out of it. With the help of the maids I packed my few belongings and headed to the guest house.
I had been in the guest house once and could easily remember the extravagance of it. It was a huge guest house especially if it was only going to be me. There was a living room, a dining room, two bedrooms upstairs, and two bathrooms. I didn't understand how there was a dining room but not a kitchen. What was the point? The guest house seemed so empty and elegant. A little too elegant for my taste, but what could I do? I wasn't going to move back with my parents.
My parents...I hadn't thought about them in a while. I wondered how dad was doing. Did mom tell him why I left? He hadn't called.
I hadn't so many things running through my head. I decided to settle in to distract myself. I chose the bedroom with the desk. I wanted to continue my writing. Writing was my escape from all my problems and make up my own fantasies. I put all my clothes in the drawers, and my toiletries in the bathroom. I had almost forgotten about the party until Jake scared me. He was leaning against the door to my room watching me.
"Oh shit Jake," I shouted trying to calm down my racing heart, "have you ever heard of knocking?"
"This is my house, I can do what I want."
I rolled my eyes.
"What do you want?"
"Are we still going to Alexa and Ricky's?" he asked.
I rubbed my temples, "Shit, I forgot about that. Well," I said going to my closet, "I don't know about you, but I'm going."
"Well of course I'm going to go. Listen can we talk about this?" he asked frustratingly running his hand through his golden hair.
"I'm pretty sure we left things clear don't you think? I mean what is there to explain? I find you making out with your best friend in the shower, and then except her to still live in the house with us after declaring nothing happened between you too. I'm disgusted Jake I really am."
"I didn't do anything wrong!"
I was flabbergasted. "You didn't do anything wrong?! You have a problem with me modeling with Hayden yet look at yourself! I've never kissed him, yet you've made out with your best friend! You're unbelievable!"
"I meant that I didn't know it was her! I had soap in my eyes I assumed it was you!"
"I find that hard to believe."
"I assumed you wanted to continue what we started this morning."
"Sure, right after my speech over my body issues."
"It's not like I haven't seen you naked Autumn."
"That was a long time ago," I said not wanting to recall. I went into the bathroom changing into a denim shirt dress and a pair of brown booties.
