Chapter 11

Autumn's POV

Oh shit. My day just kept getting worse. I had a major hangover, and Jake probably had the wrong idea.

*Flashback*

I woke up in my bed next to another body. My eyes felt like huge bags not wanting to open especially with the sun. My head was pounding, and I reeked. I looked over to my side finding Henry snoring like a bear. He was shirtless, but at least he had kept his pants on. I smiled at the thought of him staying with me. He understood my pain and loneliness. I got up to take a shower completely not thinking about anything.

After my refreshing shower I heard knocking downstairs. I thought Henry would get it, but he was out cold. I rolled my eyes, but looked around the bathroom forgetting I hadn't brought any clothes with me. Shoot. There was Henry's white dress shirt next to the sink. It was big enough...more or less. It would have to do. I ran my hands through my hair as I hurried downstairs. I opened it, and there was Jake and his usual miserable self. His eyes had huge bags under them and he was still wearing his clothes from yesterday. He looked at me scanning my body. I could almost see the wheel turning in his head. His usually light blue turned dark, and he turned around walking away.

"Jake!" I called.

*End of Flashback*

I sat next to Henry as we ate breakfast. I had some food brought over from the main house as I knew going over there with Henry would not be pleasant.

"Henry, what am I going to do?" I asked stirring my spoon in my coffee mug.

"Well, he can take it as payback. Don't you think?"

"But we didn't do anything. He did!" I argued. I felt bad deep down inside.

I groaned.

"By the way, you have a photoshoot today," he added taking a bite of his bagel.

I put my head on the table and grumbled, "Great."

Jake's POV

After what I encountered this morning, I needed to clear my head. I went to work knowing that always kept me busy. I didn't mean to be snappy or rude. I just wasn't in the mood.

"Mr. Wiiliams?" called my assistant.

"What?" I snapped.

Her voice shrunk a little, "Uh--Mr. Ricardo and Mr. Drew are here to see you."

"Let them in," I grumbled staring at my computer screen seeing numbers, but not actually processing them.

"Hey bro, what's with the long face?" ask Ricky.

"You look like you haven't slept?," added Drew.

"That's because I haven't," I said sharply.

"Woah, calm down dude. Don't know what pissed in your corn flakes," Ricky said putting up his hands in self defense.

"We just came for a visit. See how things are. Autumn left abruptly yesterday, and Alexa was worried. "

"Don't even mention her," I ordered.

"Ah-so there's trouble in paradise," Drew assumed.

"There wasn't paradise to begin with. Things have just been wrong since we got back together," I answered.

"What's happened now?" Ricky asked.

"I found her this morning in nothing but Henry Brandenburg's shirt.," I explained not wanting to remember.
