The next day... or night... Jungkook showed me the library of the castle. I picked some books and took them to the room and to Kookie's office. We spent the time before lunch in there. A man entered suddenly. He was tall and had blonde hair. He was very beautiful actually.
-I'm sorry, your highness, but Mister Jimin and Mister Taehyung are in the garden- I got up.
-Alright thank you ,Chen- Jungkook said and then looked at me- go on first.
I left the books in the chair and ran to the outside of the palace. The vampires looked at me. In the garden there was a little crowd around a carriage. I tried to walk trough the vampires. In front of the carriage I saw Rose and Mia. They were talking with Taehyung and Jimin.
-Mia! Rose!- I screamed and hugged them.
-Charlotte!- Rose said.
They seemed fine but looked different. I don't know. Maybe a little taller...? They were smiling but then I saw their eyes. Red. No!
-W-What- I was going to ask what the heck happened but someone interrupted me by holding my wrist. I turned around and saw a a man. It was a vampire, of course. He looked scary and danger.
-Slaves are not allowed to get out of the castle- he said- who's her master?- he asked holding my wrist on the top of my head.
-I-I'm not a slave- I said.
-Shh, blood bags don't talk- he said and everyone laughed.
Then and like magic someone held me and grabbed the vampire hand away.
-She's from master Jungkook- the person holding me said. I recognized his voice. It was the man who announced that Jimin and Taehyung's had arrived. What's his name again?
-Thank you, Chen- Jungkook's voice was heard.
He appeared in the middle of the crowd with a crown in his head. Chen let go of me and stayed beside Jungkook.
-No one touches, Miss Charlotte from now on! She's not a slave. If anyone hurts her or treats her like a slave, that person will be tortured and killed- he said looking at the vampire that was holding my wrist.
Everyone kept quite and in silence.
-Now, Miss Mia and Miss Rose, why don't you go inside with Miss Charlotte?
We walked through the silent crowd. We went to the library to finally talk.
-What happened with you girls?- I asked.
-I'm sorry, Charlotte- Mia said.
-But it was he only way to come here- Rose said.
-What do you mean? I'm in here and I'm still human.
-But Jungkook is the prince, Charlotte!-Rose said a bit loud
-Jimin and Taehyung are nobles but they aren't that important. People would judge them- Mia explained.
I looked down a bit sad and confused.
-How is it... like being a vampire?- I asked.
-It's quite weird- Mia said.
-We're always starving for blood which is quite annoying- Rose said.
-But let's not talk about us. Let's talk about you? How are you?
-I'm fine, I guess...
We talked a bit more and then I left the library to walk a bit. As I walked I felt the eyes of vampires on me. I get it! I'm human. For them, humans are food.
I finally found the exit for the garden. The nights are getting colder. The autumn is almost over and the winter is coming. I should ask Jungkook if is there any warmer dresses.
I looked for a bench between the flowers to sit and appreciate the stars. I finally found one but it was already occupied. A blonde boy was sitting in there with a notebook and a candle. It looked like he was writing or something. I was going to turn around and keep walking but then the boy looked at me. It was Chen.
-I'm sorry, I didn't want to interrupt you. I was just looking for a bench but I'll keep looking- I said.
-You can sit here- he gave a little smile.
I sat in silence beside him. I looked at the sky. I couldn't see the stars very well because of the lights of the palace. Chen was writing in the notebook again. I looked at what he was writing. He wasn't writing actually. The lines in the white paper didn't lie. It was a draw.
He was drawing a rose. I looked up and saw the roses that he was drawing. I get a little bit closer to see better. He noticed me and I stepped back.
-You draw very well- I said. The draw was really amazing.
-Thank you- he said.
-Do you usually draw flowers?- I asked. I was curious about his woks.
-Not really. I draw the things that inspire me. Like objects or people- he flipped the pages of the notebook to the beginning- you can see if you want.
He gave the notebook to my lap. The draws were all amazing. There was one of the girl that was very pretty. Maybe his girlfriend? There was a different name from Chen in this page and in the previous ones.
-Jongdae- I read it- is it... your name?- I asked.
-Yes but please don't tell anyone- he seemed worried.
-I won't, I promise- I tried to make him less concerned- the draws are amazing. When did you start drawing?
-I draw since I was young. Maybe since my nine or ten years. Considering I'm hundreds years old it's been a while- we both laughed.
It was getting even colder.
-It think I'll go inside. Do you know where Jungkook is?
-He's taking care of some business with Mister Jimin and Mister Taehyung.
-Alright. Thank you.
