After Mr Dickinson gave her the address of the Granger’s place, Cleopatra got back into her car. She felt much better than she had before. Her morning started out so bad, but now things were looking up.

Cleopatra started her car and pulled out of the parking lot. She needed to get back to her apartment and pack a few things before she headed over to the dojo. Living with a bunch of guys was going to be hard. But she could do it. No one was stronger than her.

And, besides, maybe she could whip these boys into shape. The way they treated at the hospital was terrible. They obviously don’t know how to handle a feisty and strong woman like her. She’ll be the best thing that would have ever happened to them.

Pulling into the parking lot of her apartment complex, Cleopatra felt it will be the last time she’ll have to be here. It was exciting and scary at the same time. She won’t have to worry about strange guys trying to crack onto her. Or sleep with one eye open.

Walking to her apartment, Cleopatra ignored the numerous wolf whistle she usually got from the guys around this part of town and unlocked her front door. She stepped inside and mentally began making a list of all the things she’ll need. She’ll need numerous sets of clothes, of course. Something boyish, but eye-catching at the same time. Hiro may appear to hate her after their first meeting, but that was because she was in her work clothes, which were highly unflattering.

When Hiro catches Cleopatra in her usual clothes, he’d definitely look twice!

Sure, gaining a guy’s attention by appearance was really insulting, but she’ll wow him with her wit and intelligence in no time. And Tyson won’t be difficult at all.

Cleopatra grinned to herself. It was going to be so much fun.

Gathering everything she needed and placing it in her shoulder bag, Cleopatra glanced around her apartment. It was small, but quaint. She was actually going to miss the privacy she had here. But she had to move on now. She had a new job waiting for her.

And if things didn’t work out at the dojo, although she couldn’t see why they wouldn’t, Mr Dickinson will continue to look after her. After seeing how much effort she’ll put into becoming Tyson’s nurse, he’ll be impressed and possibly hire her for real!

All things considered, Tyson stepping out in front of her car was probably the best thing that had ever happened to her.

Then again, Cleopatra had been bitterly disappointed by other events in her life previously. So she shouldn’t get her hopes up too high. Tyson and Hiro were guys, after all. And if one thing life had taught her ever since her father abandoned her with her mother was that men, no matter what age, could not be trusted.

Grabbing her bags, Cleopatra left her apartment and jumped into her car. She followed the instructions that Mr Dickinson left her, finding the Granger’s dojo rather easily. She parked out the front and grabbed her belongings. The front door was open, so they were obviously expecting her.

“I’m here!” Cleopatra called out when she stepped inside, placing her bags by the front step. She waited for a few moments, getting rather annoyed that someone hadn’t greeted her yet. “Hey!” she called out again.

“I heard you,” came Hiro’s voice. He sounded agitated and Cleopatra started to wonder if he always sounded like that. “Tyson hadn’t been released from hospital yet.”

Cleopatra raised an eyebrow at him. “So? You expect me to wait outside until he turns up?”

Clearly floored by her retort, Hiro sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. “This way,” he said, turning his back to her and walking further into the dojo.
