Cleopatra stayed pretty much to herself for the rest of the morning, staying in her room and drawing in her sketch book. Grandpa Granger tried to speak with her but she was in no mood to listen to him and try to understand him. She was still mad about how she was treated earlier. She couldn’t understand it. She was here to help, and they are treating her like shit. Not once had they tried to make it easy for her.

Obviously they don’t know how to handle girls. Especially independent and strong girls like her.

Cleopatra just couldn’t understand why they were treating her so badly. She hadn’t done anything wrong. Nothing. She tried to cook, she tried to clean, and all they did was insult her and yell at her. It didn’t make any sense.

There was suddenly a knock at the front door. Cleopatra listened as footsteps walked to the door and opened it. “Hey guys,” the person who opened the door was Hiro. Cleopatra frowned at how warm Hiro seemed to welcome whoever was at the door.

And yet he spoke coldly to her.

Putting her sketch book under the bed, Cleopatra decided to go and see who these people were. They might be school friends of Tyson’s coming to see how he was doing. They better not get too rowdy as it will only prolong his injuries. And he was annoying enough as it was.

Cleopatra walked into the lounge room where Tyson was sitting with his leg supported by a pillow. With him were three others, a girl with short brown hair, a guy with blond hair and another boy with short brown hair covering his eyes. Cleopatra immediately recognised them as being Tyson’s teammates; Hilary, Max and Kenny.

Cleopatra resisted the urge to sigh and rolled her eyes. She knew that Tyson’s teammates were childish and annoying. Her day had just gotten worse.

“We heard that you were released from hospital,” Hilary said to Tyson.

Max nodded. “We just wanted to so how you were doing,” Max said before he turned to look at Cleopatra standing in the doorway. “By the way, who’s that?”

Cleopatra glared at him. “I have a name,” she said harshly.

“And I don’t know it,” Max retorted and smiled. “That’s why I asked. I’m Max. This is Hilary and Kenny.”

“I know who you are,” Cleopatra rolled her ocean coloured eyes again as she sunk down to sit. “My name is Cleopatra, but you can call me Cleo. I’m Tyson’s nurse.”

“Nurse?” Kenny asked.

Hilary didn’t look convinced. “Really?”

“Yes,” Cleopatra replied as she flicked her silky blond hair over her shoulder and sighed in annoyance. “Mr Dickinson said so.”

“Oh, you’re a little young to be a nurse, aren’t you?” Hilary said.

Cleopatra sent her a cold glare. “Age has nothing to do with it,” she hissed.

They had only just turned up and they were annoying her already. Could this day suck anymore?

“She ran me over in her car and the BBA thinks it would be best if she acts as my nurse until I heal to pay for the hospital costs,” Tyson suddenly said. “That, and she made one hell of a scene at the hospital.”

Hilary wrinkled her nose, giving Cleopatra this bitchy and annoying look. “Oh.”

Cleopatra had the strong urge to hit Tyson, slap him in the face like she did his brother. But she retrained herself. “There you go again,” Cleopatra sighed in frustration. “Making me out as the bad guy. It was an accident.”
