An illusion

I stopped when I saw Harrison. "Alright, alright. Stop beating the poor old man up" he said. I tightened my fist. He looked around the yard and back at me. "Where's Ellie?" He smiled. "Far from here, far from you" I snapped. "That's a pity. I was hoping to see her pretty face today" he said creepily. "You don't touch her! Don't go near her again!" I yelled. "Easy big fella!" He laughed. "After what you did that day, I will never let you near my family again" I said. "That's the thing, you don't have a choice" he laughed. He pulled out a camera and threw it at my feet. "Come on James, we have work to do" he said pulling the man to his car. "We'll be seeing you around, Logan" he said as he drove off. I looked at the camera. It had a singular video. He threw Jake in the back of a car. The rest of Team 10 was fighting the men when the car he was in drove off. You could hear Jake banging on the window. Now off to get her. I heard Harrison say and then the video cut off. It's not Jake!! It's Harrison! I should have known, ever since I kicked his ass for what he did, I should have known he would return. I called Jeff

I forgot about actually staying with Mom and I called another Uber. I'm coming Ellie, no one will hurt you.

Ellie's POV

The movie was over and we got ready to leave. I saw Simon in the corner of the room. "Simon!" I screamed. Jonah looked so fucking confused. "Where?" He asked. I pointed to where he was smiling up at us. "There is no one there" Jonah said. Have I been imagining? OMG! Simon disappeared when Jake entered the room, like he wasn't there. He disappeared when Jonah walked outside, like no one was there. I was the only one that saw that comment! No fucking way, has Simon not been here? "Ellie, are you ok?" Jonah asked. Jake! He saw Simon, he was interviewed by him. He'll believe me. "Jonah, I know I really loved this date but-" I got cut off by Jonah. He started blushing. "Th-this was a date? I thought you were joking!" to go to Jakes, he saw Simon too" I said. Jonah nodded and we drove. I know Jake said to meet him at the park tomorrow but I couldn't wait. This matter needed to be addressed. I rung the door bell but I heard yelling coming from the back yard. "Get em Martinez!" Jake yelled. I walked back to see the Lagoon had returned. I shook my head and Jake saw me. He pulled me inside. "I thought we were gonna talk about this tomorrow" Jake said. "Jake, you said you were interviewed by a random guy" I said. He sighed knowing I wouldn't give up. "Yes" he said. "It was Simon, correct? You saw Simon? Cuz apparently we're the only ones" I said. "What?" Jake started. "No! I guess I didn't say specifically. I saw you're dad! You're dad came to 'interview' us. I thought we were talking about the same person!" He said. "So it wasn't Simon?" I asked. "I never met you're dad, when they threw me in the car Harrison wouldn't shut up about-" I cut him off. "HARRISON?" I yelled. Jake nodded. "HES BACK?" I asked/cried. "Yeah, wait. You thought it was Simon?" He asked. I nodded. "Ellie. After Simon disappeared, he was found dead in his room. Simons been dead for almost 4 years now" he said. "So why do I keep seeing him? He keeps acting like it's him!" I said. "Ellie, you need to see a doctor" Jake said. I pushed Jake away. I ran back outside to Jonah. When I went outside all I saw was Simon. "Go away! You're not real" I cried. He shook me. "Ellie! Wake up!" He said. "What?" I asked. I jumped awake. I was on the floor. "What happened?" I asked. "You threw your phone, I asked if you were okay and then you said you needed air, then you passed out" Daniel said. That was when Logan first texted me my dad was home. Has everything after then been a dream? A nightmare?

"Ellie!" Jonah called. "Oh you're awake!" He said. He hugged me. "Guys I'm so confused" I said. They looked at me weird. "Why?" They asked. "None of that was real?" I asked. "Any of what?" They asked. "Me and Jonah going to Jakes to find a broken camera! Simon! Harrison coming back!" I said. Jonah shook his head. "I don't remember any of that." He said. "Our kiss? Our date?" I asked him. He blushed. "Ok, that definitely didn't happen" he said scratching his head. I just cried.

Okay so if you're confused, go back and read Daddy Issues, right after Logan told her that her dad was back in Ohio she blacked out. Everything that happened from that point till she woke up in this chapter, never happened. I know, triggering right? TBH I planned to keep that going but it wasn't going anywhere and I really couldn't find a way to make things normal after the fact. Her dad is back in Ohio, so that will happen soon, so juicy things will still happen, and it will be real 😂. Thank you guys for 1k reads. I love y'all so much ❤️
