The Samurai

The gang and there new ally have made it to a small hut near the village but still hidden in the forest. As they get comfortable and Aang goes and brings back Appa and Momo to join them in there new rest stop, Appa becomes quite fond of Shinta after he had given him some hay to eat and he licks him and the others laugh.
"Haha very funny." Shinta says while trying to get the flying bisons slobber off of him and walks over to the fire where the others are sitting and he removes his hat reviling his face which causes Katara to blush and the boys to gape and Toph to.........to sit and continue eating and wondering what's going on since she is blind. (No offense to Toph since she is one of the worlds greatest earthbenders)
"What?Is there something on my face?" Shinta asked confusingly.
"No no it's just you sound so mature but you look so young." says Sokka still in shock.
"Oh well I'm older than I look but thanks anyway Sokka." Shinta says and places the hat to his side, there was a small gasp from katara as she notices the scar on his right cheek.
"What happened to your-" she started to say.
"My cheek well it's a long story that I don't have the time to tell and don't want to tell......It's to painful to focus on." He answers and looks down and his hair covers his eyes.
"I-I'm sorry I asked" Katara looks down at her hands.

As the gang started to wake up to the smell of something burning, they started to get up when they noticed apart of the forest on fire, Katara quickly drew some water from her pouches to put out parts of the fire and the others following her example to put out the flames when she notices through the flames a figure just a few feet away battling what she guessed were fire nation soldiers. The figures movements were fast and flowing to where she struggled to focus on them as they took out the soldiers.
"Guys where's Shinta we need some help over here!" Aang yelled struggling to put out a fire near the hut slowly creeping it's way towards it, Katara quickly runs over tearing her self away from the figure through the flames and she helps Aang.
An hour later they were able to put out the fires and fight off a few soldiers when Shinta ran in to help them. The gang stared in awe at Shinta's way with the sword, it seemed as if he was dancing with the sword each move flowing like a river with deadly force. As Sokka fangirled in the end side and the others just staring except for Toph who continued fighting off the firebenders. The others snapped themselves out of there trance and continued fighting until all the fire nation soldiers either scattered around there camping area unconscious or had ran away.
"That was so cool!" Sokka yelled as he sprinted towards Shinta who turned to him confused until he was tackled into a hug.
"Ara...Sokka your squeezing me a little...I-Its starting to hurt my wounds." Shinta says and Sokka quickly let's go and the others join him.
"That was amazing Shinta how did you learn to sword fight like that?" asked Aang.
" My uncle taught me...it was a brutal learning and training process but I survived." Shinta answers and sighs, he sits up and winces a bit clutching his arm. Katara scoots towards him and ask if she could look at he allows her to look at it and sees he had gotten burned and begins to heal it.
"So Shinta how come you didn't wake us up to help you." Sokka says and glares at him a bit.
"It was a surprise attack and I had to act quickly I'm sorry." Shinta sighs and so does Sokka.
"Fine...just try to find away to tell us next time ok?" Sokka says and Shinta nods.
"I'm sorry to have worried you all." Shinta says.
"Oh suck it up lightfoot you did what you had to do now let's go get our buts on Twinkle toes bison and get out of here." Toph says standing up and looking down at the others and Shinta let's out a small laugh and looks up at Toph.
"Well then what are we waiting for guys?" He says while standing up and walking towards Appa. The others get up and start packing there supplies as Toph waits upon Appa. As they finish packing they join Toph upon Appa, as Aang says his iconic line of "Yip yip" they fly off into the sky towards there next destination.
