The Awaking

Aang slowly beings to awaken, his eyes slowly taking in his surroundings as he realizes that he is on a fire nation ship.
"Oh no...I have to get out of here." He says slowly getting up and grabbing his side. He picks up his glider and beings walking out the door down the hall when he sees two fire nation soldiers conversing with one another, he uses his airbending to blow them away.
         "He's awake!" one of them says as they follow. He limps his way to the deck of the ship he trips as his glider slides in front of him he sees momo being petted by a fire nation soldier.
        "Momo?"he questions why he would be so friendly with the soldiers when he hears two very familiar voices.
       "Twinkle toes? That's got to be you." Toph says as her and Katara run over to him, Katara helps up Aang and hugs him.
        "Am I...dreaming?" He ask with an eyebrow cocked into the air in confusion.
        "No you're awake you're finally awake." Katara answers with relief and happiness in her voice. As an armored solider walks over to them and hugs Aang he recognizes the voice coming from the armor, as all of the overwhelming and confusion finally builds up Aang faints.
           When Aang finally awakens again Katara leads him back to the deck to the deck as they explain what happened after they escaped Ba Sing Se Sokka reveals there plan.
        "We also have another secret weapon." Sokka whispers towards Aang.
        "What is it?" He ask when Sokka gives him a look.
      "It's you, the whole world thinks you're dead. Isn't that great!?" Sokka stands up and yells with excitement while a look of horror goes across Aang's face.
       "No no no this is bad! This is really bad." Aang says while grabbing his hair. Katara attempts to calm him down when Hakoda sees a fire nation ship headed there way.
         "I've got this the avatar is back." Aang says as he tries to use his glider when Katara stops him.
          "Aang remember they don't know we aren't fire nation." She says as he closes his glider and Sokka leads him away to hide somewhere.
          As the short battle between them and the fire nation ship a figure runs by him and Sokka after he had lead Aang back to hide so the plan wouldn't fall apart. When a fire ball is launched towards them the figure jumps into the air a uses there sword to obliterate it, as they land back onto the ship the others realize who it is.
         "Shinta you're awake!" Katara yells smiling as Sokka runs out to see what happened.
         "What happened?" Sokka ask when he sees Shinta standing there putting his sword away.
          "You're awake." He says when he walks by him smiling a little.
          "I'll go look after Aang you an eye out what's going on here, ok?" Shinta tells Sokka and gives him a kind smile as he walks to where Aang is hiding.
When they finally escape the ship thanks to help of the Serpent they port into a town. Has the others prepare to leave Katara decides to go tell Aang that they are going to go into town to find something to eat, her, Sokka, Toph, and Shinta make there way to Aang's room something seems off to Shinta as they made there way to his room. As Sokka offers up the headband to hide his arrow tattoo the tension in the air becomes more obvious, Shinta leaves the room quickly trying to catch his breath as if something was choking him...it felt as if......as if guilt it's self was choking him.
"Something's definitely wrong with Aang." He struggles to say to himself as he straightens up and leans against the wall outside as he sees Toph and Sokka leave but the door to the room shuts.
"I wonder what's going on?" He questions as he takes out his sword and places the tip of its blade against the wall, a white light appears on the area that was touched by his sword and slowly dissipates. Shinta leans his ear against the wall and is able to hear Aang and Katara's conversation.
"I don't want any of you getting in my way I have to take care of this on my own!" he hears Aang yell as the sounds of something tearing.
"Fine but at least tell me what you need." She says with a bit of hurt in her voice as she heads for the door.
"I need to redeem myself. I need my honor back." He says to her facing away as she sighs and leaves.
Shinta quickly runs down the hall to where he would have been able to hear anything and where it was leading to the deck. Katara begins coming into view with her head hanging low a bit.
        "Katara are you ok." He ask her when she gets closer.
          "It's nothing. I'm fine let's catch up with the others and go get some dinner." She says as she continues walking the dock. Shinta sighs knowing something is very wrong.

As they return Katara heads to Aang's room with his dinner while the others go to the dining area to eat. While there eating Sokka remembers a question he's been meaning to ask him.
       "Hey Shinta I've been meaning to ask you something." He says catching the mans attention as he ate, he quickly looks up with rice stuck to his face and his mouth still full causing some of the crew to laugh as the ex assassin swallows his meal nearly choking on it.
      "Wha-what is Sokka?" He ask still coughing a bit but cocking up an eyebrow wondering what he wants to know.
       "In Ba Sing Se when we all split up...How did Azula end up capturing you?" He says quizzically wondering how he could have lost.
        "...Oh..." Shinta puts down his chop sticks and sighs, "Kosuke Xiè......He is the only person that I've ever taught the Sì Shì Yī style of swordsmanship. It seems he had trained using it over the years with a different type of sword then what I told him to use." Shinta says as Sokka listens carefully growing an entrance to this Kosuke Xiè.
"What do you mean by ONLY person that you've ever taught?" Sokka asks.
"The Shì Sì Yī can only be taught to one person at a time. The master needs to teach the student one on one because it covers over all of the four nations fighting styles and puts them all together into one." He explains halfheartedly and shrugs a bit since he's had that explained to him many times by his uncle.
"Could you ever possibly teach me?" Sokka ask with a hint of excitement in his voice awaiting his answer when Katara runs in and yells three words none of them were expecting.
"AANG IS GONE!"

Zuko makes his way through the palace to his room after talking to Azula about her saying he killed the avatar.
"What could she possibly be planning?" He says to himself as he enters his room and begins getting ready for bed as he thinks back to what she said when he realizes what she was saying.
"If father learns that the avatar is still alive he'll blame and banish me again to finish the job...I need to find away to make sure that never happens." He finds his hooded cloak and sneaks out of the palace as he plans to send someone to finish the job for him.

Katara and the others try to figure out which way Aang possibly went when Shinta gets an idea while looking at the moon.
"Guys! I have an idea on how we can find Aang!"He yells to get there attention from all of them talking amongst themselves as they all turned to look at him.
"Well tell us what idea you have then Shinta." Hakoda says crossing his arms, ever since his children told him about Shinta he couldn't make himself trust someone who was very close to the fire lord himself.
"Just trust me." Shinta says as he pulls out his sword which begins to glow as he points it to the moon. "Moon Spirit Yue reveal yourself!" He yells as the moon grows brighter that the others cover there eyes with there hands. When the light vanishes they all slowly put down there hands away from there faces, they see Yue floating above them with the moons glow causing her ethereal body to become translucent.
       "Yue......"Sokka mumbles in shock seeing his first love once more.
        "Hello Sokka." She says smiling causing a tear to slip down his cheek. Shinta looks in between the two with a sad smile on his face wishing he could give the two past lovers more time but the mission at hand was more important.
       "Moon Spirit Yue I must ask you a question. Do you know where our friend the Avatar has gone?" He ask looking up towards her as Sokka is snapped out of daze.
      "Yes I do, he went towards the fire nation island that was once home to the previous avatar Roku." She answers pointing towards the direction he went.
       "Thank you Yue. I'm sorry I wish I could give you and Sokka more time but-" Shinta had begun saying when she holds up her hand to silence him.
        "I understand Wúyòng but remember you can only call upon me one more time ok." She says as she begins fading.
         "I understand." He bows slightly. Sokka looks down to think of something to say when Yue appears in front of him.
       "Don't worry, you did your best to protect me." She says smiling and finally fading away completely leaving Sokka in shock but he recovers.
       "I'm sorry Sokka but-"Shinta begins to say but is cut off by Sokka raising his hand to silence him.
        "No it's ok. Let's just go find Aang." He answers calmly as he heads to the bow of the ship. Hakoda begins yelling instructions to the crew so they can head into the direction that Yue instructed.
A new day had a risen when they reach the island as Katara and the others run off to find Aang, Shinta stops and looks behind him, a gust of wind picks up his hair and blows is kimono in the direction his friends were going. He sees the ghostly figure of a woman, the sun made her very transparent but he could she was there.
          "......Sunako?...is that you?" He ask reaching out a shaking hand as guilt, anger, betray, and love consumes his mind and heart when a voice calls out for him. He quickly turns his head back as he sees Katara, Aang, Sokka, and Toph walking towards him. He slowly let's down his hand and turns to face them when they finally get closer to him.
         "Dude are you ok?" Sokka ask as they see how pale he is, Toph feels his heart begin to slow down which causes her to wonder what could have scared him.
"I'm let's just get back to the ship." He says as he begins walking towards where they were dropped off when he stops. "Oh and Aang please don't ever do that again......Sure you may be the avatar but everyone needs someone to lean on." He says still not facing them as Aang nods. They begin to look off to where the sun was rising as there minds wondered. What will happen next? Will Sokka's new invasion plan work?
