Chapter Six

The doctor and I continued to walk through the park until we came to a bench. We sat down and looked over the water that flowed in the distance

"there is so many planets out there and earth is just one of them" I said "imagine a world that was just like this one but... different"

"there is" the doctor said "that's where rose is now"

"oh. Well I'm sure she's happy" I said with a smile

"she's with my clone so I'm sure she is" the doctor said and turned his head to look at me

In TBD distance we heard crying and it kept getting closer, I could tell it was coming from a baby and when I turned my head I saw a woman pushing her child in a stroller. She was trying to get her to stop crying

I stood up from the bench and walked over to the woman with her baby

"what's her name?" I asked the woman with a smile

"Sarah" she replied

"hello Sarah" I said with a smile "my name is Ruby, its nice to meet you"

The child kept crying so I raised my finger to my lips and went 'ohhhhh' she stopped.

"how did you do that?" the woman asked

"I used to be a mom" I said with a smile "it was nice meeting you"

"goodbye" she said and walked away.

The doctor sat on the bench staring at me with wide eyes

"only I can do that" he said

"obviously not" I said with a laugh

"I'm serious, humans can't do that" he snapped at me

"like I said to that woman over there. I used to be a mom!" I snapped back and started walking away from him, I didn't need this right now.

"how can you 'used to be a mom'?" the doctor yelled after me

"I have my ways" I shouted back at him, tears starting to line my eyes

I felt a hand on a wrist and then someone spun me around to face them.

"even if you did 'used to be a mom'" he said, mimicking my voice "you shouldn't be able to do that"

"yeah, and you shouldn't be able to be this much of a Dick, but HEY! Anything possible doctor" I screamed in his face "ill be waiting in the Tardis"

Then I walked away from him and left him standing there with no idea what just happened. I walked into the Tardis and slammed the door behind me.

I ran through the halls and into my bedroom. I flung my shoes and dress in and jumped onto my bed in nothing but my underwear and bra. I cried into my pillow for a while before standing up and letting Arthur out of his room. He hopped up onto my bed as I went into my closet and pressed the secret button. Shelves of candy popped out and I grabbed a package of skore mini's, my favorite chocolate.

I hopped back onto my bed and snuggled under my covers with Arthur and my candy. After an hour I bad eaten the whole bag and cried my eyes out. Why did he have to be such an ass. When someone says 'they used to have kids' you don't pressure them to tell you what happened. If I wanted him to know I would have said

"yeah doctor all four of my children died!" for gods sake

There was a soft knock on my door before the doctor walked in and I hid my face under the covers.

"Ruby I..." I cut him off

"I don't feel like talking to you at this moment" I snapped

He sighed and sat at the end of my bed "I'm sorry I snapped at you, its just, only time lords can do what you did to that baby and it just brought back some old memories"
