Chapter Ten

"wake up" someone nudged me awake

It was David.

"where am I?" I asked him

"we are in Canada, the Canada!" he said with an exited smile

"why?" I asked, still in pain

"dad moved us here so he didn't get arrested, we all changed our last names, were the smiths now" David replied

"wait... did I?" I asked

"yeah, you did" David said with a frown

"so... he killed her?"

"yeah, he did" David said, his eyes beginning to fill with tears

"how could he do that to us?! Just because of what she did" I said angrily

"I don't know" David said with a tear slipping down his cheek "but you have to promise me to be gold so he doesn't hurt you"

"I promise" I whispered through my sobs.

She was dead, and we would never see her again.

when I woke up my face was wet with tears and my pillow was a shade darker. I wiped my tears off my face and sat up in my bed. I climbed off the top bunk and onto the floor.

I walked into my closet and threw on some light pink skinny jeans and a nice top. I paired it with a turquoise bracelet and brown heels. I put on some pink lipstick and black eye shadow. I grabbed a brown purse and filled it with the two lipsticks from River, just in case, and some candy to snack on if got bored.

I walked out of my room and into the control room where the doctor sat on a chair staring in the distance at something. He looked deep in thought so I decided not to bother him.

I sat down in one of the other chairs and opened the bag of candy, yep I was bored already. I popped a sour skittle into my mouth and sucked on it.

The doctor suddenly jumped up from his chair and started pressing buttons

"okay, so earth right?" he said

"yeah" I replied

The Tardis shook before we landed safely on planet earth. I jumped out and saw we were in the alley where we left. It was day time now though.

I walked down the street and the doctor followed close behind. We walked down a few blocks before we came to outside David's house. I walked up the front path and knocked on the door. It flew open and David stood in the doorway without a shirt and sun glasses on

"hangover?" I said with a smile

"shut up" he snapped playfully and pulled me into his house by my hand. The doctor walked in after me and we all sat down on the two couches that faced each other

"so" David said "tell me a story"

"hmmm, there have been so many" I said

"yesterday we ran into cyber men and Ruby killed over a hundred of them in less than a minuet" the doctor said

"I don't remember there being cyber men yesterday" David said

"that's the thing" I said with a smile "we were in 2056 or something!"

"that's awesome" David said

"yeah" I said

"well, Ruby, you said you needed to talk to David about something so I will be waiting in the TARDIS " the doctor said as he stood up
