Chapter Nine

"hello River" the doctor said with a smile on his face

"oh how I've missed you" the woman said as she walked down the steps and gave the doctor a quick kiss on the lips "who's this?"

"my name is Ruby Smith, it is really nice to finally meet you, the doctor told me lots about you, all good" I said with a smile

"nice too meet you too" she said and shook my hand

"but can I just clear something up?" I said "how exactly are you alive?"

"what do you mean?" she asked

"the doctor told me you died a while back?" I said

"oh" she said "well, this is his last time seeing me and my second last time seeing him" she added with a smile

"don't mean to ne rude river, but what are you doing here?" the doctor said

"we've got a weeping angel problem" she said as she started pressing buttons on the Tardis

"what did they do?" I asked

"they have taken over a small cave on the beach in Nova Scotia, and we have to stop them" she said

"I suppose my words won't work this time?" I said looking at the doctor

"I'm afraid not my beautiful friend, we just got lucky on that one" ne said

"what one?" river asked

"we have a friend..." the doctor said

"and she is a weeping angel who we named Angie!" I said happily

"that's impossible" River said

"when were done with the bad angels, we will take you to meet her" I said and flashed her a big smile

"she has heard about you too" I added

The doctor walked up behind river and pulled down a lever "so river... have you been a good girl?"

"most certainly not" river said with a laugh "I broke out of storm cage just to be here, had to kiss a guard"

"you broke out of storm cage?!" I asked, my eyes wide

"countless times" river said with a laugh

"you are my new best friend" I joked

"hey I thought that was me!" the doctor said

"have you ever broken out of storm cage?" I asked

"no" he mumbled before we were sent spinning around as we flew through space.

When we landed I walked out of the Tardis and was face to face with a weeping angel

"oh hello!" I said happily "its nice to meet you, I'm Ruby"

When the doctor walked out he sighed at my situation. I just smiled at him

"can weeping angels feel pain?" I asked

"no" river said as she hopped out of the Tardis

"oh" I said "well sorry about this then"

The with two swift movement I broke both her arms off and waved them in her face to say 'goodbye'. The doctor sighed one more time before we walked off, but the angel followed us. Not doing any harm but she was getting annoying.

We turned a corner and were met by lots of weeping angels. I looked around the room for something we could use to get out of this situation. Then I saw it.

"doctor give me your sonic screwdriver" I said

"no!" the doctor said as he stared at the angels
