I scraped money off the table and stuck it in my apron pocket. My best friend was over in a booth with our four other friends and my twin brother. I went over to the table to refill their drinks. "When will y'all leave?" I asked. "When you get off work." My brother said.
"When the diner closes at ten. Oh and dad wanted you home at nine thirty." I told him. "I'll be able to take you home." Levi said. I thanked him before going off to a different table where a family had just sat down. I took their order and went back behind the counter to place the drink order. After I was handed the drinks on a tray I took the them to the table distributing the drinks among them.
I then took their food order. Alex and his wife and young daughters came in. "That would be my cue to join my family." Louis said getting up from the table of friends. He then sat down between his two sisters. "How was your day son?" Alex asked. "Good." Louis answered. I then went over to the table before Annalise could. Saving Louis from her once more.
He leaned behind one of his sisters telling me thanks. "Never would I let her near you." I told him. The last time she was even near him she had practically worn a shirt that showed too much cleavage and shorts that showed her butt. I wouldn't of been surprised if she had a thong underneath those shorts. I wouldn't be surprised if she had a thong on today.
I took their drink orders back and went back to talk to find her leaning up against the booth. "So how's the fam?" I asked Alex. "The usual." He chuckled. "How's yours?" He asked. "The same as it was last week." I said moving over in front of Annalise moving her away from Louis. "Excuse me b--ch." She said. "I'm sorry witch. My friend here doesn't like thongs and cleavage." I told her.
Louis looked like he was about to smirk. She glared at me before walking off. He finally cracked. "That's was perfect!" He said quietly laughing. "No wonder we're still friends." I told him. "I know." He said before I took their dinner order. I took the order back to the kitchen.
By ten I was taking my flats off. Levi stayed at a bar seat long after the guys left for home. "Wish my biological father was still alive." Levi grumbled. "I know you do dude. You know you can come spend the night anytime during the week." I told him. "Yeah. My stepdad doesn't want me around anymore especially around my mom." He said.
"That's when a line is crossed. You never get between a biological son and his mother." I told him. "And who's going to stop him?" He asked. I knew what was going on at home with him. His stepdad married his mom a little too quick after Josh was killed in a car crash. Then after Levi denied the man that's when everything went south. His mom should have let Levi meet the man before she went on all these dates with this man.
"Come on dude. Let's get to my house." I told him. He nodded and followed me out. I got into the passenger seat of his truck and we went to my house. Once at the gate he punched the code in that he has dozens of times before. At the house I carried my flats inside and threw them into my room before getting a quick shower and going to bed. Levi crashed right next to me.
We both were out within seconds.
