We all sat in the stands with our families watching the rodeo. It was time for bull riding. Hyde and Tyson were helping Bryan get ready in the chute. I got a text from Tyson saying to go down to the chutes. I stepped down before going back to behind the chutes. None of them questioned it. "Video the ride." Bryan said as he got into the chute.
I began videoing his warmup before he was completely on the bull. "Do great." I told him. He winked at me before nodding. I go close to the chute as the bull bucked out. Once he was off the bull I cut the video. "Nice job." I said as he got back behind the chutes. "Thanks girl." He said as we walked out I faked being his girl. Clinging to him and keeping the bimbos off.
We reached our friends at the entrance and went out to the trucks. "So who wants to celebrate on my survival?" Bryan asked as he changed out of his dirty clothes. I raised my hand. Tyson raised his. The rest of the guys went along with it. We all went to the fast food place where we usually celebrate. This was more like the celebration for us after the first two days of school.
"Presley!" "Travis!" I mocked. "Could you stop?" "Could you stop?" I mocked once more. "Your a foot and a half short of being out of reach." He told me. I stuck my tongue out at him. He faked trying to grab me. I jumped back out of his reach. After eating dessert we went our separate ways. Travis and I went to our house while the rest went to theirs.
I put a pair of ripped jeans on with a tank top. August was the best time for these kinds of clothes. I grabbed my boots and keys to my truck before going downstairs. "Taking my truck Trav." I yelled to my brother. Kason and Aaron were already eating breakfast. "Also taking little brothers to school." I told mom.
I ate breakfast quickly before brushing my teeth. "Not wearing that." Dad said. "I agree." Travis said. I went and changed into a Texas Rangers tee shirt before grabbing my hoodie. I went back downstairs and we were out the front door in seconds. I jumped in the drivers seat starting my truck. Travis helped our brothers into my backseat due to the four inch lift.
Once at the middle school I stopped letting the boys jump out. Then went straight to the high school. I backed into my parking space. We both got out me having to quickly move because of some guy in a truck higher than mine. The guy got out. He had sunglasses on covering his eyes and a ball cap on his head. "Pres." Travis called. I followed him into the school agitated that some guy almost ran me over and hit my truck.
I plopped down into my seat in my first hour. Luckily Levi and Travis are in this class. The guy in the ball cap and sunglasses came in, except he had the sunglasses on his head. He looked offaly familiar. When he took the cap off that's when I recognized him. The guy that sat behind us in church was in the back of the classroom in the jocks side of the room.
He sure moved quickly to our side when a jock told him to get out of his seat. A bag dropped behind me. I looked down seeing a bag near my feet. This is the first time seeing him in this class. "Ah. Mr. Reese is it?" The teacher asked. "No ma'am. My last name was changed to my stepdad's three years ago. The state just never fully changed it." The guy behind me said.
The teacher made the changes before going back to roll. Then passed the assignment out. I slumped down in my seat putting a foot up on my brother's chair. The teacher didn't notice or didn't care. Me being the high school junior I am I went over the sheet of paper before working on it. It's only government. No books were allowed to be used. I did as much as I could on it. By the time I was done I had every answer filled.
I sat there tapping my heel on my brother's chair as he played on his phone. He then texted me. 'Feels like my chair is trying to hump me.' I quietly snickered. 'Good. The chair is the only thing that wants you on it.' I texted him. He sent me an emoji flipping me off. I sent double back. I then noticed he was in the group chat. I then tried not to snicker anymore. Then Max got into the chat flipping the both of us off.
'You three are acting like children.' Louis sent. The four of us went round and round. 'You know I'm a child.' I sent him. Then Bryan and Tyson got in on it. 'Hey Pres. Bored?' Bryan sent. 'Dude she's been bored.' Tyson sent. Levi then sent me a text outside of the group chat. 'What time are we supposed to get out of this class?' 'Don't know.' I answered. The bell rang right on cue. I pocketed my phone and grabbed my binder before leaving for my next class.
The new guy looked around the hall. "Where you heading next?" I asked him. He showed me his schedule. "Follow me." I said. "Wright isn't it?" I asked. "Yeah. Um?" "Presley." I said reintroducing myself. "So where are the rest of these classes?" He asked. "English is upstairs to the left. The five hundred classes are to the right. The four hundreds are to the left." I said. "So the math classes would be to the right?" He asked. "Yes." I answered as we went up the stairs. At the top was our art class. Louis was in this class.
I sat down next to him and Wright on my other side. What an interesting class this is going to be.
