Unstoppable

Chapter 5

The team walks through the forest, navgating their way. A day had already passed, along with a couple chapters, since they began their journey.

"I am so hungery, we should have gotten food when we made camp." Adapta groans, now that she mentions it the rest of the group notice their stomachs growling to be fed and aching from the neglect.

"We should take a small break and go hunt for some food" Damian suggests, Changling shakes her head and crosses her arms across her chest.

"I'll go get meal, you make fire" She demands, turning into a wolf and running off through the trees.

"Should we start a fire, or cook it by hand we don't want to signal any near by enemies and a fire in the day time is obvious." Hydro asks in Ignites mind, she holds her hands and shakes them a little bit, he nods and waits.

"Why did she-?" Adapta starts but is cut off.

"She's going to cook it by hand, but someone needs to clean whatever Changling brings back, we don't want to draw attention to ourselves more than we have to" Hydro explains, Adapta nods and presses her lips together. Damian leans himself on a tree, thinking to himself about how much of a waste of time this is, sure his stomach growled and ached. He believes he could have been out of the forest by now, this is taking too long.

An hour later Changling comes back with decent sized rabbits. Ignite gives Hydro a pleading look. He smiles and shakes his head.

"It's got to happen" He says she nods sadly

"But they are bunnies" She says back, this time in his head. He chuckles.

They finish up eating, throwing their used sticks aside.

"Damn for no seasoning that was pretty good" Damian says patting his stomach, a look of satisfaction on his face. A nod of agreement was exchanged throughout the group. The group got up and continued on their journey, Adapta and Changling , who have been talking to each other since their meal started about what year of school they are in, how they found out about the school and all.

"My girlfriend and I found it. She wanted to find somewhere we were excepted. No one really liked us back in Cali, we were too different." Adapta says twirling her thumbs. All Adapta wants is to see her girlfriend again, one last time. She hates the idea of Mirina being gone forever.

"My parents shipped me here, I kept Andern into my parents an finding ways to get out of school" Changling admits, she doesn't want to but she misses her family. Even if they never would understand.

"So, your family doesn't have powers either?" Adapta asks

"My family umm.....chose to be normal zey had Zeir powers taken...or umm Gerbunen when they were eleven, that's the age of choice." She explains

"Really? My family doesn't know where I got mine" Adapta says. They talk a bit more, going into more details.

"Zwait how does your power work exactly?" Changling asks Adapta thinks for a minute. She tries to find a way to explain this someone who doesn't speak full English.

"Hydro, can you try to freeze me" Adapta asks. This takes Hydro off guard he stares at her.

"Wait you aren't kidding?" He asks she shakes her head. He takes a deep breath and puts a hand out, sending out a blue light that when connecting with Adapta turns into ice. Her entire body radiates a bright red and the ice melts off. She receives a gasp from her fellow teammates, she looks at Ignite with a pleading look, Ignite nods and thrusts her hands forward, sending fire through the air, it comes into contact with Adapta her skin instantly turns to Asbestos, a layer of it seems to be covering her body. Ignite puts her hands down and nods with understanding, she turns around and goes back to being lost in her music.
