Unstoppable

Chapter 20

"Tell me when" Adapta says telepathically to the others, another benefit of telepathy.

"I don't think we should try it. Do we even know what material would work?" Ignite replies

"Hydro keep her talking" Damian days to him their telepathic link has grown stronger, it's almost a feeling they all have.

"Octavia please, we don't want to hurt you it's not too late to give up" Damian pleads

"Speak for yourself! I want to bash her skull in" Ignite shoots, glaring daggers at Octavia.

"I don't want to give up! I have come too far to allow a bunch of misfits to take me down !" Octavia heaves, all hint of elegancy has disappeared from view. Octavia thrusts her arm out and then quickly pulls it back in, using telekinesis to grab Adapta and pull her forward. When Adapta stops in front of Octavia, she wraps her hand around Adapta's throat. Adapta's neck almost instantly turns to metal, shocking Octavia. She throws her aside Adapta lands, letting out a grunt. Octavia looks over at the rest of the team.

Adapta gets up walking over to the rest of the team and leaning on Changling. Octavia holds out an energy ball peering over each person debating who to throw it at. She chucks it hard and Adapta turns herself into metal, the energy ball bounces off of Adapta and is sent right back to Octavia, it hits her in the stomach; she stumbles back and lets out a cry of pain.

She staggers, looking over the team again.

I can take them she thinks to herself giving them all another look over,debating which to attack. None of her options really screamed at her. Damian's eyes flood silver, he prepares himself for whatever could happen if she choose to attack him. He is ready to make her relive everything.

"Which to choose first...you are all so.......easy" Octavia grits moving her finger along tracing an invisible line through them.

"Which do you want your ass handed to you by first?" Ignite muses not being able to read what Octavia said, she is too far away.

"You're supposed to be dead..let's make sure it sticks this time" Octavia threatens pulling Ignite in, although Ignite anticipates this and allows it to happen sending a fist into Octavia's jaw, she's shocked with a the sudden impact giving Ignite time to land another blow right to her throat. The team uses this as a cue to jump in, Changling changing into a dog and pulling on the bottom of Octavia's dress, as she stumbles back Hydro lands a cold hand on her arm sending Ice through out her arm, now covering it up to her shoulder. Octavia let's out a scream and uses her telekenis to shove him away, she lands a heeled kick into Ignite's side puncturing her. Ignite let's out a yelp but spin kicks Octavia in the face before falling to the ground gripping her side.

Warm blood leaking through her fingers. Damian sneaks up behind Octavia and puts a hand on her shoulder, his eyes glowing silver color sending pain throughout her body. She fights to gain control for even a second using her powers to send everyone flying back.

Hydro from the ground sends icicles her way but she waves them off. Ignite stumbles to her feet still gripping her bleeding side and panting, the pain causing her to grimace.

"You guys think that you can defeat me with your basic powers?" Octavia bark sending glares to Ignite, and evil smile spreading across her lips as an idea pops into her head. Octavia puts her arm forward, pulling Ignite closer to her, she lights up her other hand with a purple lightning energy that dances through her fingers. As Ignite comes into contact with Octavia, she turns her around to face the rest of the team that is barely getting to their feet.

"Octavia don't hurt her!" Hydro yells Ignite tries to read his lips but sh can't he is too far.

"What was I told about this one? Oh right, she needs these headphones here" She muses fingering the sides of the headphones.

"Should we stop her?" Adapta asks telepathically thinking about what happened to the Banshee in the woods.

"No if she thinks it's her weakness we can use that, follow my lead" Hydro answers

"Wait Don't!!! I said don't hurt her!" Hydro yells, the rest of the group understands, Ignite still can't figure out what is happening. She can feel the energy from Octavia's hand threatening her life.

"Octavia you don't understand we can't lose her" Damian says Octavia's smile deepens as she rips he headphones off of Ignite's head. Tossing them aside. At first nothing happens, nothing visible. Anger bubbles in Ignite's stomach her eyes glowing an intense color of redish orange. Fire engulfing her entire body she puts one of her hands out shooting a single bolt of lightning it hits Octavia in the abdomen, throwing her into the wall behind her, which wasn't too far away. Ignite spins to face the rest of the team raising both of her hands in the air, one covered in blood from the wound on her side which is now healed. Hydro rushes grabbing the headphones giving them a quick look over to make sure they aren't damaged.

"But..how?" Octavia asks confusion spreading across her features.

"Well you see, these headphones only do two things, keep her powers under control and keep her calm. Now you have taken away the only thing that gave you an advantage" Hydro explains with a smirk. Ignite put her arms forward once again, this time aiming at Octavia's heart. Only this time, there is no one to keep her from ending Octavia's life. A flash of light goes off and Octavia's eyes drift off staring ahead but at nothing, blood leaking out of the side of her mouth. Ignite angrily turns around, Hydro puts his hands up in the air to tell her he won't hurt her. Ignite narrows her eyes at him as he takes small steps forward putting the headphones over her head. The color of her eyes changes back to it's natural shade of red. She takes a couple deep breaths until she is fully calm. Hydro grabs her by the hip pulling her into him and smashing his lips onto hers, at first this surprises her but she melts into it and kisses back.

"It's about damn time" Damian mutters Changling turns to Adapta and kisses her, putting a hand on the back of her neck. Adapta closes her eyes and kisses back placing her hands around Changling's waist.

"Oh COME ON!!!" Damian shouts in frustration throwing his hands up in the air in defeat.
