His eyebrows were scrunched up in confusion and face in worry. Francis sat upright in the hospital bed as the nurse kept on saying something which he wasn't paying heed to. The only question invading his thoughts was why Jacqueline had left so suddenly. There had to be a reason behind it. And he didn't know what.

"Mr Wright, are you even listening to anything I am saying?" The divorced, blonde nurse gently touched his arm. "You seem distracted."

It happens when someone who you care about deeply and immensely is in trouble. Especially when you don't have any idea what's wrong.

One side of his brain said, If only you didn't have this phobia, Jacqueline, and I could have met you easily and talked to you in person.

While the other said, But then again, you would have never messaged me and I would have never fallen in love.

"Francis?" The nurse tried again, this time catching his attention. "Tell me, what's wrong? I might be your nurse, but that doesn't mean that I cannot help you in your personal problems," she handed him a half glass of water and a tablet. "That is, if you want me to."

Francis gulped down the water along with the medicine and then looked at Regina. "Are you even allowed that?"

Regina smiled. "We're here to help the patients. If this isn't bloody help, then I really don't know what it is."

Well, she might as well give me some advice or console me. So why not tell her everything? It's not like I'll see her again once I'm out of here.

"In that case," Francis sighed, bracing himself. "I. . . like a girl," like seems better for now. "But um, the problem is that she has agoraphobia and even has mental breakdowns."

"Ah," the nurse hummed as she sat on a chair. "So it's a love story and she doesn't love you back, right? Or perhaps you both like each other but her phobia is coming in the way?"

"Not sure about the first one, but it's kind of like the latter," he answered. "We won't be able to see each other, also because I'm a tourist here. The story is a bit long and I wouldn't want to go into the details. But the thing is," he sighed again, eyes lowering. "She was talking to me earlier when she left all of a sudden. I'm just worried about what went wrong. I mean she has left suddenly before, but not in this way."

His description was long, but still vague for someone who didn't know their story beforehand. Still, Francis hoped that she'd understand, and if not, at least he could say that he had tried.

"Well," Regina started. "I can't say much on this but with someone who has agoraphobia coupled with mental breakdowns, it's alright, I guess, to leave like that. Maybe she's having another one of her breakdowns and she doesn't want you to message her further. Maybe she's doing something and you took it in the wrong sense. It could he anything and you might as well be over worrying."

The way she's saying it. . .

"You can be right," he glanced at her. "I might be over worrying."

Regina got up and smiled at him. "Just give that girl time and she'll message you back again. Trust me," she turned around. "And if she doesn't, then you can message her."

Well, this didn't help much, but it was something. And that's all I can ask for.

Francis lied down on the bed and kept on waiting and waiting and waiting for her. Sure, one of the worst parts of life is waiting. But the best part is having someone worth waiting for.

And for Francis, that someone was Jacqueline.

And for Francis, that someone was Jacqueline
