Jacqueline threw the phone on the floor in anger and sadness. An involuntary scream erupted from her mouth as she struggled to control her emotions.

Francis was leaving? He was leaving? Leaving leaving leaving leaving leaving leaving leaving leaving leaving leaving leaving leaving leaving!

"No!" She yelled, eyes closing for a brief moment. And when she opened them, heavy tears started flowing from her eyes.

She heard footsteps just then as Antonio came rushing towards her.

"What's wrong, Ms. Leroy?" He asked in a worried tone. "What happened?"

Jacqueline shook her head. "You lied to me, Antonio. You lied to me! Why? Why didn't you tell me that you had gone to meet Francis? Why?"

Antonio lowered his gaze and said in a low voice, "I was scared and afraid of your reaction, Jacqueline."

"T-That's a lame excuse," she said with venom and hate in her voice. "You knew I wouldn't have been mad. He's Francis for heavens sake. I'd be happy that you've gone to see him when you know that I cannot," she clenched her fingers tightly. "And now he's leaving? I reckon he must've told you that as well, huh?"

"I'm really really sorry, Ms. Leroy," Antonio humbly apologized, looking at her. "I know I'm at fault here, but please, just do not be angry at me. That's all I ask for. Please."

He hid such a thing from me. I should not be mad, yes, but this is something big for me. Francis is someone I like a lot and knowing that he is going and that we might never meet again, just hurts me so much.

"I cannot forgive you," she said after much thought. "But, I'll still be angry at you. And don't ask me why. What you consider as a minor issue, is big for me."

Antonio smiled. "Well, that's all I can ask for. Besides, you know that your anger at me is nothing."

"Oh shush," she silenced him, and then a laugh escaped her mouth.

"Told you so," he joked, patting her shoulders.

"Alright, you got me," she laughed, giving in. "But I'm still mad at you."

"Say all you want, Ms Leroy, say all you want."

Jacqueline could sense that he was keeping something else from her too, it was a gut feeling but she decided not to probe and ruin the moment. Antonio was her best friend, and fighting with him on such an issue was pointless. So, she let the matter be and smiled again.

"Oh and Antonio?" She glanced at the floor. "I think I must have broken my phone."

The next three chapters will be the last as they'll consist of one last event that'll be told in Antonio, Jacqueline and Francis' POV. Any guesses what that event is? ;)
