"No, Marcus!" Francis exclaimed in a distressed state as he glanced at the flowers in his friends hand. "I needed roses and not lily's. Jacqueline loves roses and roses only. No other type of flower."

Marcus put the flowers on the bed and explained, "The florists didn't know how to talk in English and it took me ages to tell them how vital it was for me to get roses and roses only," he sighed. "I tried my best, mate. Sorry."

"It's fine," Francis assured him. "I just want this to be perfect, you know. No mistakes at all."

If I mess up, I won't be able to bare it. This is the first and most probably the last time that I might see her and this should be worthwhile.

"I get it," Marcus nodded, sitting down on the chair. "So why don't we go over the list of things again?"

"Sure," came back the reply.

"We have the flowers, the wrong type of flowers," he corrected through gritted teeth, "the banner, chocolates, balloons, bracelet and the art set have been sent there. Antonio said that he's going to order the food when we leave from here."

"I hope everything is hidden safely?" he asked, hoping that his plan was not ruined.

Marcus nodded. "Everything was transported when she was sleeping and it's in a store room area where she never goes. It's safe."

"Alright, splendid. Can you go call the doctor? I want to leave." He wanted to leave soon as it was already around noon. He did not want further delay.

"Sure," Marcus responded and got up. Before leaving the room, he turned around and asked, "Are you nervous?"

Nervous? My nerves have reached a new galaxy. God knows how I'll feel if I mess up.

"Honestly speaking, mate?" He laughed nervously. "Yes. My mind is going bonkers. If I don't have some moral support then I don't have any idea how I'll do this."

"I'm here," he assured him and then left the room.

A few minutes later, Francis' phone rang and he picked it up instantly.

"Hi," it was Antonio. "You're lucky. Ms. Leroy dressed formal today. And not because I coaxed her, but because she wanted to."

"Awesome," he smiled, thankful.

"Yeah. She woke up feeling joyful today," Antonio told her. "Feels odd, but I think that with this great day, her mood also changed a bit. But I believe that we shouldn't dwell on this much."

"Yep," Francis replied as a nurse entered the room. "We should be happy that she's in a good mood. Anyways, I have to go now. Bye."

"Sure, meet you there."

The call ended and Francis looked up at the petite nurse who was wheeling a wheelchair towards him.

"Now you're gonna have to be real careful, eh, boy?" She said, stopping the wheelchair. "Your injury is still sort of fresh and we don't want any bad thing to happen."

"I'll get the hang of it," he said a bit unconvincingly.

Will I? This seems kinda scary and hurtful. . . Oh lord, help me.
