We started to get used to the Khaos universe the higher we went up.

We had gotten to the Bellios city in level 8 and it seemed to be really difficult to avoid attention from other khaos players.

The Bellios city was packed with players all over, it had this kind of modern look to it than the others.

We rented a safe house around the outskirts of the city. It was like a low quality apartment.

There were two rooms, a bathroom and a tiny living room.

The six of us rested in the living room, discussing about how we had gone so far.

"I wonder how the safe houses are in the upper levels," Eric said.

"They're probably like five star hotels, with gold toilets and shit," Kevin said.

"Yeah well they're probably better than this dump, this place sucks. No wonder the rent was so cheap," Geminade said.

"We'll just rest for a while and leave soon," I said.

"Well we might as well get some rest, I'm heading in one of the rooms. Later guys," Richard said, standing up and yawning.

"Yeah me too, I'll see you guys in the morning," Geminade said, heading to the opposite room.

Kevin stood up to join Richard and Eric layed flat on the couch, humming a Katy Perry song.

"Hey Ivan, can we talk for a while?" Retrix asked me.

"Sure, what's on your mind," I answered.

"Oh not here, let's take a walk outside."

"Sure, let's go," I said as both of us now stepped out of the apartment.

We walked down the street of the safe house and stopped at a nearby bridge above a small stream.

We stood at the middle of the bridge and looked over at the body of water.

"It's been long since we spoke you know," Retrix said.

"Yeah, so much has happened since the Khaos tournament began," I replied.

"I still can't believe you won, I expected you to but well.....not like that."

"Thanks, it's all because you foolishly killed yourself in our semi-final battle."

"But we both know I whooped your ass in that battle, I just felt you were right to go on to the finals."

"Hey, I used my second khaos avatar while you used your third. If I used my third it would have been a while another battle."

We both laughed together.

"Hey, so what did you want to talk about Retrix?"

"Okay um, how do I put this. Geminade and I are-"

"Going out, yeah I'm quite aware of that."

"Woah....how the hell did you know?"

"I'm not stupid Retrix, I've known you for a while now, I can tell when something is going on."

"Well it's you isn't it, sorry for not telling you earlier bro."

"Hey its cool, I'm sure if I got a girlfriend I wouldn't tell you about it either," I mocked.

Retrix let out a loud laugh and hit me on my back.

"I'm glad we're friends Ivan, you really mean a lot to me."

I looked at him as I was about to reply, then I noticed something rushing towards us.

"Watch out!" I shouted as I grabbed him to the ground.
