Part 17: Because of me

Jordyn's pov/

I am meeting with Marcus in an hour to know what happened yesterday with Martinus. If they stayed mad at each other, I don't think I want to stay with Marcus anymore. Do you think I want to ruin their life on purpose? I am not that type of girl! I don't want them to fight because of me! Besides, it's better to be their friend than to lose them forever.

1 hour later, he came to my house. I opened the door and led him to my bedroom. He sat next to me on my bed and told me that he and Martinus got in a huge fight yesterday and maybe they won't talk with each other anymore. I cried after hearing that so he held me tight.

Jordyn-:" Marcus I can't take it! I am sorry we need to break up!"

Marcus-:" Why? Forget about Martinus he hurt me enough! He's not my brother he's my enemy now!"

Omg look what I had done. Because of me he hates his brother.

Jordyn-:" I'm sorry."

Marcus-:" Can we at least stay friends?"

Jordyn-:" Not without Martinus!"

Trust me that hurts because I love him so bad but I had to do this.

Marcus' pov/

Because of Martinus Jordyn now hates me. She doesn't want to be even my friend. Should I apologize to Martinus? No he should be the one apologizing I did nothing wrong!

I went to my house with a broken heart. My family were eating lunch and when Martinus saw me, he grabbed his plate and went upstairs. Clearly he is avoiding me but that's ok two can play that game.

I sat next to Emma who looked at me in the eyes and said:

Emma-:" What's going on between you and Martinus?"

Marcus-:" Nothing Emma all brothers fight."

Emma-:" But you have never fought!"

Marcus-:" Because we're teenagers now! You'll never understand you are still to young."

Emma-:" Yes I do! I do understand that you two are fighting over a girl. Yes Marcus I was eavesdropping yesterday."

Marcus-:" No No Emma that can never happen."

Emma-:" Marcus, I look up to you because you were always the better twin. You were always next to Martinus, picking him up when he falls down, helping him and making him believe in himself. Marcus what happened to you? Maybe Martinus did something wrong but we are humans! Everyone makes mistakes! Will you choose a girl over your brother?"

Her words tore my heart. When did she become so wise?

She continued with tears in her eyes:

Emma-:" Marcus you were my... my idol!"

Marcus-:" Were?"

Emma-:" YEA YOU WERE BECAUSE AN IDOL KNOWS HOW TO FORGIVE! NOW GO TO MARTINUS' ROOM AND END THIS FIGHT!!"

Marcus-:" Emma I don't have a brother anymore!"

Emma-:" So do I! I don't have brothers named Marcus and Martinus after this!"

She left the kitchen in tears. Mum and dad were listening to our conversation without saying a word. But when Emma left, dad stared at me and said sarcastically:

Dad-:" Well done son!"

Martinus' pov/

Mum-:" Martinus lunch is ready!"

Martinus-:" I will never sit on the same table with Marcus!"

Mum-:" He's not here! And you two have to end this fight today!"

End this fight? Never! I am sure Marcus is enjoying his life with Jordyn without me in it.

I sat next to Emma who was obviously mad at me, well in fact mad at us!

Emma-:" Why you and Marcus hate each other now?"

Martinus-:" It's complicated I can't tell you."

Emma-:" Fine i'll ask Marcus then"

At this moment we heard someone opening the door. It was Marcus! He was with Jordyn for sure. I grabbed my plate and went to my room avoiding eye contacts with him.

It's not about Jordyn anymore, because I will never force her to like me, it's about Marcus and me now!
