Hannah's POVAfter my incredible nap on Chidubem's awesome water bed. I felt totally rejuvenated and made my way downstairs to the living room.
"Ugh! Finally you're awake." Dubem's voice echoed through the hall leading to her living room. "I wanna order a pizza, you down for that?"
"Totally!" I jumped next to her on the three sitter couch which my earlier nap began on. "Where's Funmi?"
"Pfft...Like you would reject pizza." Dubem muttered and dialled the pizza's place on her phone. "And she went home because they are leaving early to beat traffic around that redeem camp side, how would you know when you where snoring since."
"Hey!" I punched her arm and cried out in playful anger. "I hope George delivers today."
Dubem rolled her eyes at me,"Really, you have been crushing on that guy since the beginning of summer. To talk to him is a major problem for you."
I immediately tried to defend home base."That isn't true...."
"Yes,sweetie it kinda is." She said patting my shoulder looking at me sympathetically. "And it's kinda sad."
"How do you know, Mrs Love Guru?"
"Baby girl, I just do. I am tired that you have to go through all this for some pizza boy."
"Ahn ahn, his father owns a chain of those pizzerias all around Lagos and Nigeria. A chain of restaurants too. So don't call him that, okay?"
She stood and turned to face me. "Yep, pizza boy. If his father owns the place why is he working there?"
"Well....I heard on Amebos that his father wanted all his children to work in the various branches to learn about how to manage the business so they would be involved in deliveri-"
"So you have been stalking him?"She stared at me blankly then returned her attention back to her phone."Just don't disgrace me, that is all I will say."
"I haven't and I will....not."
Her little sister, Ogechi came through the kitchen door with a chocolate bar in her hand. Ogechi sat with Chidubem and tore open the packet. Then proceed to stuff her face with the entire thing. I taught her well. Leave no chocolate behind.
"Ogechi we're ordering pizza, want some?" I asked.
"Yep." She said licking her lips and hands.
"They aren't picking up the phone." Dubem grumbled. "I forgot what topping would you guys like? I don't know what to get."
"Barbecue chicken!" I exclaimed.
"Mushrooms!" Ogechi shouted.
"I'm going with Hannah's topping please." Dubem said disgust contouring her features. "Which kind of topping is mushrooms anyway? Hannah you order it."
Dubem handed me her phone since I was to lazy to get mine from the dining table.
"The healthy kind."
"Ewww..."
I dialled them again."Hi.... I want a small mushroom pizza and a medium barbecue chicken....Address? Number 13, Ascent Avenue, Gatepoint Estate, Lekki.....Thanks."
Dubem punched the air in excitement.
"Why is the TV turned off?" I asked no one in particular.
"True talk. Let me switch it on now." Chidubem reached for the remote OK the centre table.
A channel was already chosen and it was showing a new episode of the award winning series General House.
I could feel Chidubem's and Ogechi's eyes light up like it was Christmas morning and Santa had brought them many presents in form of British comedy. It was something we all liked to watch together the girls and I.
General House was about a family that shared a huge mansion with their relatives. It revolved around the lifestyle of the Generals, a problematic type family with the habit of getting in trouble especially Cole General, one of the main character that is played by Bennett Daniels, who's pictures was the wallpaper on my phone, pitiful I know, but I chose not to give a damn because he is a total hot cake.
