Read everything, like, every chapter because you'll get hella confused. Don't skip the intro nor the prologue. They're part of the story too and it's annoying when people skip them.
Also don't skip narrator vampire bat's dialogue unless you already know the things he's explaining. He's there as a guide to readers who do not know things. He's like a flying almanac/dictionary/encyclopedia/etc
