"So, what brought you to Paris? I heard you still worked in Seoul before." "You turned 30.", Namjoon simply answered and smiled at the employee who brought them the menu cards. "That's not such a big deal.", Jin murmured behind the menu. They ordered their drinks and meals soon after and talked about everything that came into their minds.
They ate in silent but the older always caught his old friend staring at him. It didn't annoy him, but it made him blush for no reason and that annoyed him. Namjoon was a good company for Jin since Hoseok went to the hospital every free minute. Maybe Jimin or Taehyung, but to be honest, his agency's secretary and his boss are not really a perfect date for him.
But was Namjoon a perfect date either? He still didn't told Jin about the reason he was there. The model got ripped out of his thoughts when something touched him. To be precise it was Namjoons thumb whipping away the sauce from Jins mouth ankle. Seokjin blushed again and gave his friend a small "Thank you".
After they both finished their meal Namjoon paid for both of them (Jin first tried to pay on his own). They made their way out of the small restaurant, Namjoon helped Jin in his coat again, and walked down to the river. They walked slowly through the silently falling snow and Jin recognised the chains of lights. The older didn't notice Namjoon taking his hand but smiled a little.
When they arrived at the Seine they sat down on a bench in the park. In front of them the Eiffel tower glowing in the dark. They looked at the small waves on the river and Seokjin leaned against his dates shoulder imperceptible what caused a smile on Namjoons face.
"I came here for your 30th birthday. Why? Do you remember our pact, Seokjin?" The older looked up in confusion. What pact? He didn't remember anything. He didn't even remember Namjoon himself at first. What was he now talking about?
"We promised to marry each other when you get 30 and we're both still single.", Namjoon explained and carefully turned around to look at Jin. The olders mouth opened slightly and Namjoon looked at him with eyes full of hope.
And Seokjin finally remembered.
