"you're so caring," michael whispered over to marley. "i can see it in you. when you talk to your friends or whoever, you genually care."
marley smiles over at michael.
"i remember this one time, you were at the local park. i was there too, with calum and ashton there. luke was there too. there was a little boy, and he was full-on sobbing. he kept crying, 'where's mommy?' and 'i can't find mommy!'. he kept crying until you noticed him. you walked over to him, completely ignoring your friends. you knelt down on both your knees to be face-to-face with him. you titled his small chin up so he can see you. he sniffled up and slowly stopped talking as you said things to him. i could see it in your eyes, marley, you cared that he'd stop crying. not because the crying was annoying, but because you didn't want him to be sad. the mother came rushing, and she thanked you for making him stop crying and reassuring him. and if i wasn't such a fucking coward, i would've told you right there everything i'm telling you today."
the room went into a silence.
"marley, you don't have to say anything."
"i know," she whispered. "but, if we're being honest here, michael," she paused. "i've liked you all this time from afar, too."
you all want your own michaels and all i can say to that is same
