the door knob shakes, but it's locked. someone's trying to get in, but it's locked. the door knob is jiggling.

ashton, the second calmest out of all them after marley, is staring down the door knob, not blinking once, not missing a single second.

"oh my god," calum mouths to michael whose heart suddenly got stuck in his throat.

michael's trying to stay calm for marley, but he can't since he thinks he might as well die any minute now.

marley takes in one deep breath, and closes her eyes. she opens them after a while, and smiles down at the ground sadly.

the door knob suddenly stops jiggling, and you can hear the loud footsteps walking away. just to be sure, they all waited a couple minutes again before letting out their load breaths.

"another thing i like about you," michael breathes out. "is you're brave."
