Kaldur x Atlantean!Reader

Kaldur POV

I swore know would never love after Tula.

After she broke my heart by marrying my best friend, she died.

And my heart never has truly gotten over her.

But, this one Atlantean with beautiful pale blue skin and e/c eyes made me forget all my reservations.

Her name was f/n l/n.

I met her after the Light had been defeated, and Wally West was recovered from the second Earth.

She was brought to Mount Justice.

This is how I met her.

Your POV

I had been brought to Mount Justice after Aquaman saw me kill what he thought was another Atlantean.

The truth is, I never killed anyone.

It had been a ruse to get me on the surface world.

Black Manta had been given a magic amulet to make anyone look like anyone.

They wanted to kill me.

Don't ask why. I don't know.

Aquaman took me to see the Justice.

"I didn't kill anyone." I must've said it for the thousandth time.

"The evidence doesn't lie," Batman said. It was hard to take someone in a bat suit seriously.

He left, and a strange boy with gills and white hair came in.

"You must be f/n," he said, in Atlantean. (Italics is Atlantean)

"Yes," I replied.

"Why do you say that you have not killed someone where Aquaman has seen you?" He fiddled with a necklace.

"It wasn't me! I swear it!" I yelled.

"Who was it?" the boy asked.

"What is your name?" I asked, dodging the question.

"Kaldur, but that is irrelevant," the boy replied.

"Please believe me!" I pleaded.

Again. And again we would have this conversation.

Me claiming that it wasn't me.

Sometimes we would just talk.

I was slowly falling for him.

The person that doubted me.

Kaldur was sweet, kind, shy.

One day, a boy in a colourful costume came in, and told me that I would be put in jail in Atlantis.

They still thought I was a murderer.

I was brought to the jail.

Kaldur still visits me.

I'm in jail for a crime I didn't commit.

The only thing that helps me through it, is Kaldur's daily visits.

I have one year left on my penance, and Kaldur has proposed.

Once I'm out, we're getting married.

Sometimes love isn't about what people think.

It's about what you believe.
