Robin (DG) x Birthday!Reader

Clean, for once. No cussing or innuendo.

I ran as fast as I could.

"Why can't I ever be enough?" I yell, as I glance at the wristwatch blinking with directions to my partner.

He was supposed to wait.

But noooo, Mr. Know-it-all  decided to do it on his own, and get himself captured by Joker.

Why, oh why, couldn't he just wait for me????

He's just creating work, and telling me I'm obviously not good enough to work for him!

Stupid, son of a beach!

Skidding to a stop, I slip into an empty warehouse, Robin's tracker blinking.

I dart behind the stacked crates, and see a figure struggling in the dark.

I turn on the night vision goggles attached to my mask.

It's Robin, at least I think it is.

I sneak closer, and scan the area for the Joker or his goons.

No one.

Strange.

I check for odd traps, bombs, or anything that could kill Robin or I.

Nothing.

Now it's suspicious.

I creep closer, and cut the ropes off Robin.

Then, I dart behind another vrate, just in case it wasn't him.

Hmmm.

"Thanks for saving me, y/h/n," Robin said, smiling.

I nod, and continue to scan the area for any traps.

Nothing.

"Oh, y/h/n, can you come here for a sec?" Robin asked, pulling up his wrist computer.

"Sure," I said. I stepped closer.

As soon as I stepped into the light, the warehouse lights all turned on.

"Happy Birthday!" The Team yelled.

I jumped, and whipped out my knife.

After seeing it was them, I relaxed, and dripped the knife.

"Thanks guys! So, Rob, yours telling me I ran my but off to save you, just so you could throw a surprise party?" I asked, turning to Rob.

"Yup."

I smirked, and said, "So you do care!"

"Of course."

We all smiled, and I, ate my cake with a gigantic smile.

Megan gave me a skirt, Artemis gave me some more smoke bombs, Wally gave me a restaurant giftcard, Conner gave me a hivefive, and Kaldur gave me some anti venom for a sea snake.

Robin scratched his neck, and said, "I'll give you mine later."

I shrugged, and gathered my gifts.

When we teleported back to the tower, Rob pulled me aside.

"Hey. I just wanted to say, that I've liked you for a long time." Robin leaned close.

"I like you too," I whispered.

We leaned closer.

As our lips were about to touch, someone pulled us apart.

"No time for kissing. Only justice," Batman said, glaring.
