-Author's Note-

To all the people who read the first book, welcome back! To all the newbies, welcome to the story! If you're confused about what's happening, it's probably because you haven't read the first book yet. Eternal Abyss. You can go back and read it if you want, this book isn't suddenly going to disappear! If you've already read Eternal Abyss then sit back and enjoy the ride! Also, to keep things simple I'm only going to write from your P.O.V and Loki's P.O.V. I was switching between a lot of different P.O.Vs in the last book and it might have been a bit confusing!

Loki's P.O.V

"I want to see her." I say, standing before the leader of S.H.I.E.L.D, Nick Fury. He crosses his arms and sighs deeply.

"Loki, your brother has been through this with you. She needs a normal life. Away from the wars and the frost giants. Away from you."

"She was the queen of Jotunheim!" I growl, remembering the day she was crowned. The day I died... Well, almost.

"And now she isn't! We sorted it out, they have a new leader now! Do know how long it took to convince Mr Stark not to keep you in Stark Tower?" I see Nick's hand lightly pressing against the gun in his pocket. After all this time, he's still afraid of me.

"It's been three years... I gave her time to settle in. I can't bear it anymore. Do you know how hard it is to stay away from the person you love most? For three years?" I turn my head to see Thor standing outside of the glass door. He gives me a reassuring smile. Nick's voice draws my attention back to him.

"Loki, I can't risk you dragging her back into your life. I'm sorry."

"A week," I plead. He looks at me curiously. "Just give me a week on Midgard. It's not enough to build a relationship with her, but it's enough time for me to know that she's okay. And that she's happy."

"Loki..." He sighs in an annoyed tone.

"Please... I only want one week. And then I'll never ask to see her again." I feel so weak, begging to a Midgardian like this. But it's the only way I can see (y/n). Fury glances at Thor. I know he's not too keen on the idea either, but he's willing to go through with it.

"I can't believe I'm letting you do this..." He sighs, rubbing his temples. "Fine. One week. But I'll have round the clock surveillance on you." I let out a light laugh of relief.

"Thank you..."

"Of course, you'll need a place to stay. I'm sure I can get you an apartment somewhere..." Fury pressed a button on his desk and a holographic screen appears.

"So when can I see her?" I ask excitedly.

"It might take a few days. We'll need to create a fake identity for you... You can change your appearance with your illusions, right?" He starts tapping different icons on the screen.

"Yes but... Is a fake identity really needed?"

"Thousands of people know who you are. Your little fiasco in New York got your name and face plastered all over the internet." I raise an eyebrow. Am I really that well known?

"Just don't give me a stupid name." I warn him, the door slowly opens and Thor peeks his head in.

"I see you two have come to an agreement?" He asks happily.

"I can stay on Midgard for a week."

"I would have guessed as much. You're almost glowing, brother." Thor smiles at me. I look down at my hands.

"You must be seeing things. I'm not glowing." He can't trick me that easily.

"You're not actually glowing, brother!" He chuckles. "It means that you look really happy!" I let out a sigh of annoyance. Since he met that Jane woman, he's been saying a lot of stupid things like that. "Anyway, we should get back to Asgard. Mother does not want us to be late for dinner."

"Go, you don't want to upset your mother." Fury says sternly, but I can't help feeling he's mocking me. I refrain from saying anything, knowing it might ruin my chances of meeting (y/n). We say our goodbyes and I follow Thor through the winding corridors of the airship. We finally reach a door which has a few warning signs on it. He pushes it open and I'm blown backwards by a rush of air. I manage to stay on my feet.

"Hold on," Thor says, raising Mjolnir into the sky. I grab his free arm with both hands. I've never liked this part. "Heimdall, open the Bifrost!" He yells. Suddenly, a stream of multicoloured light pours from the sky. We slowly rise a few meters into the air before being quickly sucked upwards. Finally, I can feel the ground beneath my feet again.

"Welcome back." Heimdall greets the both of us. His intentions are friendly but I don't think he's forgiven me for freezing him a few years ago. We nod to him and make our way down the rainbow bridge.

"I can't believe I'm going to see her again... After all this time..." It's good to feel the Asgardian breeze in my hair again. I've missed it. It takes me back to the time (y/n) and I ran from the guards whilst breaking me out of the dungeons.

"I'm happy for you Loki... Are you sure a week's going to be enough?"

"We'll see," I sigh, knowing that it will never be enough. I want to be with (y/n) for all eternity. "Ah, I haven't been this excited since the day I ruled over New York!"

"You mean the day you wrecked it and nearly got in blown to ash." Thor asks suspiciously. I let out a long exhale, thinking about that day.

"Yes, that one. Maybe I could-"

"Loki, no."

"I was joking, brother! But... I could always-"

"No!"
