-Loki's P.O.V-

"Loki? Can I come in?" Thor calls.

"Thor, what do you want?" I sigh, looking up from my book as my door slowly creaks open. Thor walks in, dressed in his full armour.

"I need to talk to you."

"Can't you see I'm busy?" Thor glances down at my book.

"It's important. Besides, once you find out what it is, you won't be." I see a mischevious smirk on his lips. I reluctantly close the book and place it on my bedside table. Thor sits down on the edge of my bed next to me, causing my half to rise up significantly higher than his side.

"Alright, I'm listening."

"Oh come on, be a bit more cheerful!" He gives me a light punch on the shoulder.

"Thor, it's been four days and Fury still hasn't gotten back to me about (y/n)! How can I possibly be cheerful?"

"Well, you're going to be feeling better very soon. Do you know why?" I can hear a hint of excitement in his voice.

"Thor, I'm not in the mood for guessing games." As I speak, I can see him pulling out a white envelope with the S.H.I.E.L.D symbol on it. I stare at him in disbelief. "Is that-"

"Yes. It contains all the information you need to know about (y/n)'s new life and it includes your new identity..." I can feel my heart speeding up. I haven't felt this excited for anything in a long time. I reach out for it but he snatches it away.

"Thor!" I cry, desperate to find out what it says.

"If you want it... You'll have to catch me first." He teases. By the time Thor's words sink in, he's already bolted out of the door.

"Wh- That's- Thor!" I shout, almost laughing. My body finally realises what I have to do and I throw myself off the bed. I run out my room to see Thor at the end of the hallway, waving the letter around. Growling, I charge forward. Thor quickly disappears from sight. I speed down the hallway and skid around the corner. I haven't felt this alive since (y/n) was by my side. Boy, I've missed this feeling. Bursting out of the palace doors, I see Thor running through the palace gardens. I notice there are horses there. He planned this. I can't stop myself from chuckling, remembering chasing each other like this as children. By the time I reach the horses, Thor has already mounted his and is galloping towards the rainbow bridge. There is a beautiful white stallion waiting for me. With no time to lose, I haul myself onto its back and grab the reins. "Thor!" I yell, digging my heels into the stallion's sides. It kicks into action, galloping forward at full speed. Soon, the sound of hooves on earth turns to hooves on glass. They make a wonderful clinking sound as we speed down the rainbow bridge. Thor is right up ahead. I'm determined to catch him before we reach the end. "Faster!" As the stallion speeds up, I can hear its heavy breathing.

"See brother? Isn't this fun?" I hear Thor laugh up ahead.

"Not one bit!" I shout, loving the adrenaline pulsing through my veins. I've almost caught up to him, the letter he's waving is just out of my reach.

"We need to go faster!" I know the horse is going as fast as it can. I almost lose hope until it seems to get a boost of energy, sprinting a little bit faster. And that's all I need. Lifting my self from the saddle, I snatch the letter from Thor's hand. It takes me a second to realise that I've actually done it. "I beat you brother!" I yell, looking back at him. He's beaming with what seems to be... pride. The horses slow down as we reach the Bifrost. I slide off of my horse and stand by Thor, his breathing is heavy and rough.

"Well? Read it! I want to see who Midgard Loki is!" He pants, looking at me excitedly. Taking a deep breath, I tear open the envelope. Two folded up papers slide into my hands. One is labelled "Loki" and the other is labelled "(y/n)". I decide to open (y/n)'s one first. As I unfold it, a small, square piece of card falls out into my hand. I flip it over to see a picture of a girl. I don't recognise her at first, but her eyes are a giveaway.

"(y/n)... You've changed so much..." I whisper. Her hair is still the same beautiful (h/c) but it looks silkier than before. My eyes are drawn back to the letter. It contains her new backstory. "Car crash when she was a baby, parents died, in a coma since she was 1... Works at Starbucks? What in the nine realms is a Starbucks?"

"I recall it being a popular store on Midgard that sells hot beverages. The humans call it a cafe." Thor says, his eyes flickering over the page.

"That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of..." I mutter, shaking my head. I've never been able to understand the Midgardian culture and I don't try, I find a lot of their traditions stupid and unnecessary.

"Alright... Now let's see your letter!" Safely tucking (y/n)'s letter and picture back into the envelope, I unfold my one. I skim through it and read parts aloud.

"27 years old... Born on the 9th of February 1990... My name is... Alright, I take what I said about that Starbucks place back, this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of." I groan, staring at the name that those stupid agents came up with.

Let me see!" Thor orders. I show him the letter. "Oh come on Loki, it's not that bad..."

"You must be joking! What kind of a name is Tom Hiddleston?" I groan in despair.

"I think Tom suits you! Anyway, that's the name you were given and you'll have to stick with it. Look, they even gave you an occupation!" I look down at the letter.

"A librarian? That's- That's ridiculous. I'm not using that. They just want me to look stupid, don't they?"

"I thought you liked books!" Thor says, trying to cheer me up.

"Well, yes but-"

"Then it's the perfect job for you!"

"Thor, I don't think that's how it works-"

"Nonsense!" He snaps. We stand in silence for a moment.

"So, what happens now?" I ask, tucking the letter back into the envelope.

"We go down the Midgard where Fury will be waiting for us. He'll give you all the things you need to live down there for a week."

"I can't believe I'm going to see her again..." I whisper.

"Tom the librarian..." Thor sniggers.

"Shut up!" I growl, punching his shoulder. He doesn't even flinch.

"My little brother, master of illusions, God of mischief... Librarian."Thor sighs like a proud mother.

"I swear I'm going to kill you."

"Now now, we both know what happened last time you tried to kill me."

"I hate you."
