"Tom? Can I have my notebook now?" Her smile fades a little as she stares at my empty hands.

"Uh... I must have left it at the place I went to eat at..." I mumble in a panic.

"You lost it?" Hints of irritation flare in her voice.

"I was in a hurry to leave and-"

"Tom that notebook is everything to me! You had it for two hours!" I glance over her shoulder to see Rem, staring with an annoyed look.

"Don't worry! I'll just quickly go back and get it! Wait here!" I leave (y/n) standing there annoyed and confused, running back to the shawarma place.  I must have left it there, it's the last place I had it! Bursting through the doors, I go over to my table. It isn't there.

"You must be really hungry." Savannah's annoying voice chirps from behind me.

"I'm not here to eat. I think I left a notebook here, have you seen it?" An unsettling smile creeps onto her lips.

"I might have." It takes a moment for me to register what she is saying.

"What? Have you seen it or not?"

"What are you willing to give for it?" I can't believe what I'm hearing.

"You stole it? Just give it to me!" I growl, trying to draw attention.

"You didn't text me, why should I? You've been so rude to me when all I've done it been nice to you." I swallow the rage bubbling up my throat.

"Savannah, I haven't been rude to you. Now give me the notebook before you make a fool of yourself." I take a step closer but she doesn't flinch. I suddenly notice the black cover poking out from her apron. I reach for it but she snatches it away, holding it behind her.

"Just give me what I want and you can have it." Her smile is sickening.

"What do you want?" I ask through gritted teeth.

"A kiss." No. No way and I kissing that evil creature.

"No."

"Then I guess I haven't seen it." She turns on her heels and struts away. I stop her by the door. I lean towards her face. As I hear her breathing hitch I whisper in her ear.

"Don't make me take it by force." She sighs heavily and pushes me away.

"Why do you want it so much anyway! It's just some crappy love story." My nails dig into my palms as I fight back urges to do something I'll regret.

"It means more to me than you ever will." This hits her hard. She stares at the floor for a moment.

"You know what? Fine. I wouldn't want to date a weirdo like you anyway!" With that, she pushes the door open and throws the notebook outside. The relentless rain quickly drenches it as it falls into a puddle. She slams the door behind me and I run towards the book, hoping I can recover it. But as I feel the soaked cover, I know it's too late.

"Tom?" The soothing voice of (y/n) cuts through the thunder like the knives she used to throw. I look up at her, it's hard to see through the rain but there she is. The strong girl that I know is standing weakly, cold rain soaked through her clothes, plastering her hair to her face. I slowly stand up with the notebook. She quietly walks up and takes it.

"(y/n)... I'm so sorry. That girl, she took it and-"

"Stop it." She mutters, opening the notebook. The water has made the ink run and smudge. She flicks through it, the pages falling apart under her fingers as she does so. I expect her to say something. Shout or cry. But she doesn't. She sighs with a lifeless expression and drops the notebook.

"(y/n). Please... I didn't mean for this to happen. I really enjoyed the story!"

"Tom, please. It's just a lot to take right now." She turns and walks away. I stare at ruined pages on the floor. It doesn't have to be like this.

"(y/n)!" I shout, running after her. "Tell me what happens!" She freezes and turns around curiously, almost unaffected by the rain.

"What?"

"When you got captured by the frost giants, you were about to be crowned princess. I want to hear the rest of the story."

"Tom... It doesn't matter. The idea isn't that good anyway." She sighs and begins to walk again but I grab her wrist. I can't let her go again.

"It does matter. It matters a lot. It's a brilliant story no matter what anyone else says! Please, I want to hear more." (y/n) pulls her wrist free but doesn't continue walking. "I don't care if you tell me later, or right here, but I want to hear the rest." She swivels around.

"Fine, if you want to know so badly." She stares up at me, both of us drenched to the bone but neither of us seems to care. "I was going to be crowned princess of the frost giants. But then Loki he... He saved me. I think that was when I realised that... That..."

"That you loved him?" I ask quietly. She doesn't reply. She doesn't need to.

"Did I tell you that you reminded me of him?" (y/n) looks straight into my eyes. Looking into her eyes, it's as if she knows. As if somewhere deep down inside, she knows it's me. Part of her heart longs for me but her mind and logic has been fighting it.

"Yeah, something like that." Is all I can manage before my body gives in. I lean down and kiss her. I thought that at a moment like this, time would freeze. But instead, it's like everything explodes. Lightning bursts through the clouds, electrifying the air and striking a burning passion through my veins. My hands move on their own, sliding around her waist and pulling her closer. I know that she can't fight it anymore as I feel her arms around my neck. I didn't know if she'd ever be in my embrace like this again. But as our lips are locked together, I know that I'd never lost her. From the moment we met all those years ago, our souls have been fused together. No matter how much she remembers, her heart will always belong to me. The burning in my blood dies down as she pulls away. She looks up at me with the loving eyes that I adore, but her expression changes to confusion and then shock.

"No way..." She whispers, eyes wide. My heart races with what could be wrong.

"(y/n)?" What could possibly be wrong?

"You're... Your skin... It's blue." I glance down at my hands which have now gone a light shade of blue. My Jotun form? Oh god, why now? I stand there, speechless.

"It's- I'm-"

"It's real... It's all real..." She gasps, taking deep breaths. "I wasn't in a coma... I'm part Valkyrie... And you're- You're Loki."
