"She's waking up." Tony stands next to me with his arms folded. (y/n) begins to wriggle around on the sofa. My mind races with different things to say. Her eyes flutter open.

"Loki..." She mumbles. As she becomes more aware of what's happening, her eyes widen. "What- Where am I?"

"Stark Tower." As I speak, (y/n) leaps up and wraps her arms around me. I gladly relax into the hug, squeezing her tightly. This is how it should be. Me and (y/n), together.

"So... Can we go back to Asgard?" She asks curiously, glancing at Tony. He sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose between his fingers.

"I still don't think-"

"I don't get what your problem is!" She snaps, pulling away from me and taking a threatening step towards Tony. "There's absolutely no reason why we shouldn't be able to just go home."

"I've already explained this to him." Tony glances at me. "He's a god (y/n). He's already over a thousand years old. You're what, 20 something? My point is, he'll outlive you."

"I don't care! At least it will be a good life."

"And what happens when you die? Loki's left to live out the next few thousand years without his girlfriend." He has a point. Life without (y/n)... I can't even imagine it. (y/n) knows exactly how I'll feel.

"But there must be some sort of anti ageing spell you know! Your father is Odin! He must be able to help..." The desperation in (y/n)'s voice sends a wave of guilt through me.

"There's no way I could convince my father to help us after all I've done." I shake my head, but she won't give up.

"There must be someone who can convince him!" There's only one person who can get through to Odin.

"Frigga. My... Mother." She's always loved me, even at my worst moments. She used to tell me about love. I never truly understood what she meant until I met (y/n). She would say how it felt like the sun was always shining on you. That you can never truly be sad when you're with the person you love most. How you want to hold that person and never let go. "If anyone can help us, it's her."

"Are you sure she'll help us?" (y/n) asks.

"She knows what love looks like. She'll see how much you mean to me. I'm sure of it."

"Okay. Tony, what do you think?" She turns to Tony, who looks rather bored.

"Sure, fine, whatever. The quicker you get off this planet, the better." She turns to me, a beaming smile on her face.

"So... When can we go?" (y/n) takes my hand, squeezing it tightly.

"Well, first of all, we need to find a way back. If only we had the-" Suddenly, there is a loud bang and the tesseract drops out of nowhere into my free hand. Before I can react, the world around me begins to go blurry and spin. (y/n) is still holding tightly onto my hand. The spinning slows down and then jolts to a stop. The world regains focus and we're no longer in Stark Tower but on the rainbow bridge. "Wow... How..."

"Convenient." (y/n) shrugs and smiles. "What are we waiting for? Let's go find Frigga!" She laughs and starts running, pulling me along behind her. This sort of reminds me of the dream I had earlier. By the time we reach the palace doors, (y/n) is completely out of breath.

"Oh come on, that was like a walk in the gardens!" I say proudly. She shoots me a playful glare.

"Loki?" The voice that I've grown up listening to rings through the halls. I look at to see Frigga standing at the end of the hall, she looks relieved.

"Mother." I sigh and quickly head over to her. She pulls me into a hug and I hear (y/n) giggling behind me.

"Loki."

"Brother." I can't help but smile at the sight of Thor, walking over and standing by my mother's side. I take (y/n)'s hand and turn back to Frigga. "Mother, we need your help."

"Yes, I know. Thor told me everything." She just keeps smiling. Even after hundreds of years, it hasn't changed a bit.

"And?" I hold my breath. She sighs.

"Do you love her as much as Thor says you do?" I glance at (y/n) for a moment, who smiles brightly. I turn back to Frigga.

"With all my heart and soul." It feels good to say that. To tell the full, sincere truth for once in my life. She lets out a soft laugh.

"Then, of course, I'll do whatever I can. I- I'm so proud of you, Loki." It's been such a long time since I've been told that. I've made so many mistakes, how could anyone be proud of me? But I know that she's being sincere.

"Thank you." I smile and turn to (y/n).

"Thank you so much." (y/n) is bursting with happiness, her eyes are sparkling brighter than ever before. I want to make her this happy all the time. I'll do whatever it takes to keep her shining like that.  Whatever it takes.
