Kiera was sitting at the dinner table with her parents when there was a knock on the door. Her father hopped out of his seat and went to open the door.
She looked at her mother with a face that asked Do you know who's there? When her mother didn't answer, she raised her eyebrows. Her mother stared down at her meal, avoiding eye contact. She noticed that she had a small smile on her face.
Her father came back with laugh and a person behind him.
Gray Adkins.
Her father grinned, gripping onto Gray's shoulders. She watched as Gray sat down at the table diagonally from her while her father grabbed a plate and filled it up with food. It wasn't until he sat down that he told her what was going on.
"Meet your new tutor, Kiera, because he's going to be here everyday until you bring up your grades, or when he deems that you're qualified. Man, I love this kid."
