Gray looked everywhere for Kiera. He heard she went to all her classes, but when he came to look for her, she seemed to have disappeared. There was no sign of her anywhere.
Gray gritted his teeth and asked people all around him where he could find her, but he got the same disappointing answer from each person.
With the last piece of hope he had inside, he went into the library – the only place he hadn't checked yet – and found her in the back with a book close to her face. Her chest was moving up and down slowly, and he wondered if she was asleep.
Gray slowly pulled her book away and saw her eyes closed. He attempted to pick her up, but she woke up with a start and swatted him away. Before he could say a word, she slip out from under him and escaped the library.
