"You better keep my baby girl safe, mister. You hear me?"

"Yes, Mr. Jonson, I will not let her out of my sight, and I will have her home before midnight. But I was wondering if it would be okay to be a little late? I want to make sure she's fed before she comes home."

Her dad chuckled and patted his back. "Now that's what I'm talking about."

Kiera walked down the steps, hoping she doesn't trip and fall. So far so good.

Gray turned around and stared at her in awe. There was something in his eyes that she couldn't decipher, but she felt happy.

Her dress was long. It was gold, matching the necklace Gray gave her, and it had a slit on the left side of her dress, exposing her leg. Her shoulders were bare and cold.

He shook his head and announced, "Well, we'll be off now. I want her to have the best arrival as possible, but we don't want people leaving before they get to see this masterpiece."
