Gray and Kiera sat inside her room with the door open. They were on the floor, studying genetics. She didn't understand anything in the book, so she was quite grateful that he was there to explain it to her. Kiera didn't have friends to help her – or friends at all.

Eventually, when they finished all their work, she brought up their childhood.

"Gray, do you remember when we used to always play hide and seek? We'd do it at random times. I remember when you hid under my bed, but I couldn't find you for hours and nearly almost forgot to look for you if you hadn't started snoring."

He didn't say anything. Instead, he just grabbed all his stuff and left.
