"Mum you ready?" i asked walking into here room. she was wearing a pink sparkly dress with her hair in a large bun.
"yep. oh look at you, it's times like this I'm glad i had a second daughter i can relate to" she smiled

"come on Mum as you say...its ShowTime" i took her hand and we went downstairs. We entered the bar.
"not getting dressed up tonight then" Tina commented though i think it was more aimed at Mum.
"one side of the leg needs adjusting" i made a gagging noise as Dad kissed Mum.
"come on Strictly round your punters in" Shirley gave Mum the microphone.
"hello, hello and welcome to the Carters Karaoke night" everyone cheered "now i can see lots of you have signed up if you haven't come on have a go. and enjoy yourselves, so first up is..."
"Mia you might want this" Nancy handed me my camera i was confused.
"Aunt Babe and Johnny Carter" mum announced "singing Barcelona" i turned.
"did you" i nodded
"we might need it later" i grinned and switched it oh as Johnny was pulled onto the stage by aunt babe.
"whoo go Johnny" i cheered as i laughed i held up my camera they began to sing...really badly. but they carried on. i winced a couple of times but i found it hilarious. when the finished i whistled.
"Mia" i turned round to see Peter and Lola
"hey guys glad you could make it, Peter was telling me that you two were spending some time together. how did he drag you down here?" i smiled
"yeah said it would be fun, then proceeded to beg until i gave in"
"ahhh. well i hope to here...a duet maybe" i shrug
"you'll be lucky" Lola snorts.
"next up is Mia Carter" Mum called.
"please tell me i didn't just hear my name" i closed my eyes.
"sorry" i swung my head to Nancy who was grinning.

i finished the song and there was a round of applause my family hugged me as i came off stage.
"Nancy you did that on purpose" i frowned
"got his attention didn't it" he nodded over to Peter who was looking right at me while Lola was talking with Dexter. i dragged her into the back.
"unless she dumps him for whatever reason we're just going to be friends no stop medalling in the lack of my love life" i huff and walk out to the bar. I went to serve customers when Peter came up to the bar.
"you were great didn't know you could sing like that" he complemented and i tried to hide a blush.
"thanks it wasn't my idea to sing it though Nancy set me up" he laughed and ordered a round of drinks. Mum rung the bell
"last orders" Mum called ,then Shirley rung it again.
"how about a lock in" she took some vodka.
"my name above the bar" she smirked and left
