Chapter Thirty Two

Valentine's day, a day that couple go overboard on being together when the days before and after that day count more than one. it's also a reason to be down in the dumps because single people are forever watching the loved up mushy stuff be expressed left, right and centre.

i was in the kitchen eating breakfast when there was knocking from downstairs. we all looked at one another before Dad got up.

"don't worry yourselves I'll get it" he left

"who would be calling at this time." Mum wonders and she eats some more breakfast.

"Mia! Delivery for you!" Dad shouts i got up and i heard the scuffling of chairs as my family followed me. i entered the bar and there was a man holding a huge bunch of roses.

"Delivery for Amelia Carter" the man said

"that's me" he handed me the roses and i put them on the counter before signing he left and i turned back.

"that is a well big bunch of roses" Nancy said

"err look there's a card for you as well" Dad handed me a red envelope and i opened it. i read i through.

"what does it say?" Mum ask all giddy. i clear my throat.

"To my Valentine Mia.  I've decided that i want to show how much I've come to care about you. five gifts will find their way to you, i hope you like them. infact i know you will because i know you, with each of them i will give you five clues about me. With love your Secret Valentine. p.s I'm not a stalker i just know you well" i read out then looked at the roses i could see a card poking out. i took it and opened it.

"roses are red violets are blue sugar is sweet just like you. then there is a picture of a eye" i told them

"oh how sweet. let me look." i handed the card to her and looked at the roses with a smile

"i don't know whether to be creped out or all fluffed up" i look back at the others.

"oh really Mia a guy is treating you like a princess for the day? don't question it just go with it" Mum chided i nodded and grinned.

"well better get ready it is the day of love." i grabbed the roses and took them upstairs.

"I'll get a couple of vases for them" Mum called as i placed them in the kitchen i went to grab my phone and snapped a picture of them. i went to get dressed for the day, red cause of the day. me and Mum were putting the roses in vases.

"why don't get ready and fill out the card you got Dad" i whisper

you sure" i nod and carried on the roses took up three vases and i took them one by one to my room  when i was done i went downstairs. i was helping Dad set up for the day i took my heels of to hand up some banners and love hearts.

"I'm going out for a hour i won't be far" i told Dad i went to open the door and was greeted by a biker.

"gift for Mia Carter"

"thanks" he handed me them  and left i saw Johnny and Nancy.

"you two I've got another gift" i called they turned round

"hey Mia, what's going on?" it was Peter.

"hey Peter" i smiled

"Mia here has got herself a valentines admirer he's sent two out of five gifts already. come on then what did he send you." Nancy told him. i opened the bog love heart box at it was chocolates but there was one missing.

"there's one missing"  Johnny stated what i was thinking.

"here look there's a card" Nancy gave it to me and took the chocolates as i opened them.
