"woah, someone raised an elephant in here," exclaimed hye jung, wrinkling her nose.

the odor of the stale urine and shit curled from under the restroom doors, depressingly mixed with deodorant and body odor in equal measure. grateful for her plastic gloves, she flushed the big pile of poop down the drain.

"bye bye, big poop!" hoseok cried, waving from behind the girl's bathroom door. he peeked a little from the door crack, probably still scared that hye jung would drag him by the ear to make him clean toilets with her.

hye jung sighed. "hoseok, c'mon! we cleaned the boy's bathroom together already-" she choked, remembering the stench of urine- "so can you please, pretty please, can you help me clean the girls'?"

hoseok stomped his feet for the fifth time that day. "but- but what if i see blood?"

hye jung was about to object, saying that girls do not murder boys in the bathroom, but she realized what he meant.

hoseok whimpered.

"alright, then. i'll clean all these eight bathroom stalls by myself."

the boy cheered and squatted, watching his friend use a mop to clean the bathroom tiles. "but, hye jung!"

"what is it?"

"isn't it strange that the janitor who was supposed to look after us just left  the school?"

"WHAT?!"

hoseok burped a little in his mouth. "excuse me. uh- yeah! see, she's driving away! see her headlights going blink blin-"

hye jung ran straight towards hoseok and pushed him (without much sympathy to the falling boy), staring in shock and anger as she watched the janitor drive away in her car.

"ow!" protested hoseok, rubbing his elbow. "that hurt."

"JUNG HOSEOK, FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE, DID YOU NOT TRY TO STOP HER?"

"nope! she looked friendly and gave me a little wave-"

hye jung sighed, feeling the urge to cry. this was just added to the pile of unfortunate events that occurred to her today. she wanted to call satan himself and just burn herself away from this world, along with burning off hoseok's nose off for his stupidity.

just kidding. his nose is too perfect to burn off.

hye jung took off her plastic gloves in exasperation. "jung hoseok, do you know the way out of the school?"

hoseok puffed his cheeks and nodded.

"you take me there, then." hye jung said, taking hoseok by the arm, left hand carrying her backpack and the right hand nearly dragging hoseok.

the two teens walked out of the bathroom, on their new mission to get out of the school. there was no sound in the building except for the hollow echo of their footsteps. the desks once warmed by sitting students now lay vacant. the school was but a void of what it used to be, no laughter from students, no teachers giving lectures, just silence and dust.

oh, and two scared teens.

hoseok whimpered. "this is so creepy, hye jung! i miss my friends." hye jung nodded. a deserted school was a lot scarier than she imagined.

the two made their way towards the school gate. once they arrived, hoseok squatted again (probably due to fear).

hye jung shook the gate, as if beckoning it to open. it didn't.

"fuck," she cursed, staring at the big lock which hung between the two gates.

she stared at hoseok. "we're locked in the school."

and due to shock and anger,

hye jung did not see the mischief appear in jung hoseok's eyes.
