Crashing Into Pieces
~Phone Call Cont.~
Nash-You can start fresh again. This time with all of us.
Should I go back?
Skylar-Even if I did go back. What am I supposed to do about my house?
Nash-I'll take care of everything. I promise.
Skylar-Are you still close to the beach? I need to talk to you in person. Just you.
Nash-Of course. Be right there.
~End of Phone Call~
I hang up. I slip on some flip flops and walk to the beach. I sit on a bench by the food trucks while I wait for Nash.
About 2 minutes later, I see Nash walking towards me. I'm going to tell him how I feel. About everything. I'm telling him about the orphanage and even Austin.
"Hey," Nash smiles at me as he takes a seat next to me on the bench.
"Okay. I have a lot to say, so I'm just going to get into it right away."
Nash nods his head like he's happy to even be talking to me.
I start to speak again, my head down, "Well, the first thing I have to tell you is about me going away. From here. Kind of. Not by choice though." I look up at Nash. He looks very confused. I talk again explaining more in depth, "An orphanage called me," I'm speaking very slowly. "They said that since my mom is dead, my dad is in jail, and there is no one old enough to take care of me, I have to stay at an orphanage."
"What? When did this happen?" Nash's voice is still calm.
"Right after I came in my house. I blocked the number. I didn't know what else to do."
"Some of the guys are 18. Cameron is actually turning 19 soon. You were pretty much living with us before."
"I know, but I wanted to start a new life. That means showing people I can live by myself without having to come to people for help. And I ran away to stay away from the life I had before. You guys were that life."
"I just miss you Sky. I have 2 words for you that I've been meaning to say many times; I love you."
I give him a puzzling look, "That's 3 words."
"No, it's not, because you and I, are one." This is the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me. I knew that from the moment I met Nash, I loved him. I was right too, he loves me back.
"Nash," I look into his big, blue eyes. "I love you too."
He starts to slowly lean in. I lean in too. I close my eyes, and the next thing I know is that our lips touch. It's just a soft kiss. It feels like fireworks are going off. Sparks are flying. This is the perfect moment.
Nash slowly pulls away. He just smiles. This was nothing like saying I love you before when I refused to listen to him.
I smile back at Nash, "I've wanted to tell you how much I love you for the longest time. It was on the list of things I was going to tell you."
"What else do you need to tell me?"
"Well, you see, funny story actually."
"Just say it."
"I'm kinda scheduled for a date with Austin Mahone."
"What? How? When? Where?" He talks so fast I almost don't understand him.
"I ran into him when I was walking to the beach after I noticed you guys left. He said he wants to get to know me better, so we made plans to hang out. I'm sorry Nash. I'll call if off."
