Ice.

Her body was icy cold, only a shiver every now and then to let her know where the ice started and she began. Even then, though, it was a challenge. Conscious thought had left her- however many hours ago, now only the remains of her tattered mind lay scattered like fallen leaves around her.

Blue.

Her fingers were blue, a mottled colour that faded to black at the tips.

Burning.

They burned as she moved them, the bones beneath her flesh grinding against each other as she took breath after painstaking breath. Pain was the only vivid thought in her mind, hurt was a prevalent feeling in her heart but it held no candle to the utter agony that besieged her broken form.

The door in front of her moved.

"Ah, Cass- how are you? Fairing well?" Her vocal cords were frozen, the blood in her veins chilling. Cassidy couldn't speak, but even if she wanted to she had nothing to say to him. A simple shudder almost broke her form, and she willed her broken body to stop trying. Black spots ebbed in her vision and she knew that she was going to die, knew it in her very bones. The true horror of it had worn off after the first few times, and now all that was left was cold, dead resignation.

"Nothing to say? Such a shame, I miss your voice." The 'fuck you.' hung off her tongue like her tears hung frozen off her face.

"Well, in that case you'll just have to stay a little longer in here then." Her eyes widened, an eyelid twitching being the only thing that showed her desperation.

He stepped back as she moved, the tubes running from her broken wings the only thing stopping her from leaving. Her skin cracked, bled and froze as she moved. Her lips moved and cracked and bled before she could push the words from her chest.

"...w-...w-wait.."

But the door had already closed and she had already stopped shivering.

Gasping, Cassidy lept from his lap- her flowing through her like a second skin. Instantly he was following her, up and off of the couch as he watched her. His eyes confused as he noticed her wings weren't there- they were gone. Her chest heaved and her eyes burned as she pulled the couch to act as a barrier, however easy it would be to jump over.

She couldn't go back and no matter what she wouldn't go back.

Her eyes flitted to the window and she calculated the distance it would take to throw herself to them before his shadows burst, pouring out his body to spread across her flat. The window slammed shut and she knew instantly that there was no escape. And that was when she knew she had to fight to get away- a crackling spread across the room as her nails shunted forwards. Claws now tipped the edges of her fingers, black and sharp, as she hissed- moving to slouch her stance.

Features that were familiar to him now twisted into a menacing snarl, teeth turned into harsh points that cut through her lips lick butter- causing blood to flow freely down her face. She now looked like a demon, not the angel she was. Another deep hiss echoed from the chasm of her throat, hair turning a pearlescent white and flowing down to her waist- covering most of her snarling face. No longer were her eyes an enchanting copper, but a deep and harsh gold that cut through the darkness of her living room and pierced his very core.

Demos stood straight, the tendons in his throat growing more pronounced as a guttural growl rumbled throughout his chest. As he clicked his neck, his eyes glowed a blood red- dominance flowing out of his aura as he stared down at Cassidy. Runes flowed onto his skin, tattoos glowing in obsidian as his shadow flowed and pooled around his feet. It appeared as if he was apperating out of a black mist- sent from hell to punish.
