Darting forward, she let out an almighty screech- claws poised ready for his face. Laughingly, he ducked out of the way, hand darting out to connect with her face. With a slam, she launched backwards- letting out a shriek when her back connected with a tree. Snapping, the tree fell to the ground as all grew silent. Moments later Cassidy stood from the wreckage, a look of pure fury wrapping around her very being. Roaring, she lept forward again, her spine slick with blood but her heart burning with hate. Repeatedly, she threw herself forward as the others watched aghast- blood slicking her whole body. Panting, she stood for what felt like the millionth time, her body shaking form the continued effort of exertion. Clothes ripped and torn, they held onto her body as if clinging on for dear life as she marched forward again and again.

Cassidy threw her aching body forward again, her throat worn and torn from repeated war cries and insults before Carter had his arm wrapped around her waist. Hoisting her into the air, he growled as she let out animalistic snarls and clawed at his arms. Again, Ethan let out a laugh- hands pointedly against his hips. He nary had a bruise.

"Carter," Cassidy said, eyes glowing a deep burnished gold as she stared deep into the eyes of the beast. "Let me go."

"I can't do that, Cass. You'd kill him." Growling, she struggled fruitlessly in his arms again.

"He deserves to die!" Hand wrapping around the gold band around her neck, she snarled. "He did this to me." Carters arms shifted, almost uncomfortably, and she seized her chance.

Darting forward, she was affronted by Demos who looked at her with soulful eyes as his arms wrapped around her torn body. She couldn't understand, could not comprehend why they were protecting this man who had kept her from her true home for over seventeen years. Snarling, she clawed at the man in front of her- her feelings be damned as she attacked him.

"Cassidy, try to understand- I don't like this either but we need him for information." Growling, she threw her hand forward but was caught. Wrapping a firm arm around her waist, she was pulled into his chest. But she couldn't feel the familiar tug at her heart, all she could feel was cold fury for the man sneering behind them.

"No," Deflating, she could feel her eyes flow back to brown- felt as her hair dulled and turned black. Wincing, the sharp feeling of her hair recessing back to her human form filled her and she stepped back. Tears burned heavy at her eyes.

"You don't understand, that man." Throwing her finger at him, she felt the restrained fury she had for him bubble up. "That man! Ruined my life, he took everything away from me just because he wanted a chance at immortality. He used me, Demos." Imploring him, her eyes searched his as confusion, anger and absurdity filled her face. "Do you not understand that? That I can't simply forgive him for ruining me? Demos I am considered a traitor, an out cast hell-" Voice breaking, she pushed at his chest.

"Cassidy-" Demos started, wrapping his hands around her wrists but she tugged them back- loathing the affection that ran through her

"-I'm not even allowed back into my homeland because of that man, let alone the fact my wings have been taken from me." Hand wrapping around her collar, tears dripped down her face- her face drawing red. "This is what this is. A collar. My fucking punishment because I was a weak Angel who didn't know how the world worked." Biting her lip, her hands hung at her sides in defeat. "And now I have nothing, no home, no home because of him and lets be honest with each other- I have PTSD because of him." Stepping forward, she made to walk to Ethan. "So let me just have this, yeah?"

Speechlessness ran in the air around her and now, with her anger gone she felt awkward. She had barely known these people a week and now they knew everything, or, at least, the bare essentials. Coughing, she turned back to Ethan, her talons jutting out in her human form. But, she stopped. A sweet and soft, warm-sort-of feeling washed over her and the hair at the back of her neck prickling at the sensation. Drawing in a short breath, she spun around with wide eyes and watched as the sky parted. Deep, deep in the darkness of the night, the clouds parted and dawn washed the lands. As the clouds parted, she felt her wings tingle- felt her very soul be washed anew.
