A week.
A week, it was a solid week of torture before Cassidy fully stopped fighting back.
They subjected her to everything she had before, but ten times worse. After consuming her blood, she found, they had increased power and were able to not sleep forever- it seemed. Grunting, she tried to shift away from the leg lashing out to cane against her stomach. Letting a shuddering breath escape from her body, she tried to tug at her bonds- her body curled protectively against her stomach. Again, their shin made contact with her stomach and she retched- stomach tightening horribly. Nothing came up. They hadn't fed her.
Soon, it abated and she let herself hang from her chains limply- mouth open and gasping for air while her hands turned a mottled purple. No longer could she cry, she just didn't have the will for it anymore.
Slowly, she closed her eyes and prayed for the first time in six years that she was able to die.

Panting, Demos hit the punching bag. After the second TV had been broken- he'd been told to hang on up by an annoyed Lily. Grunting, he punched at it, feeling the anger drain from his muscles but dread soon encroached- and he felt his stomach tighten. Swallowing, he went harder- lashing out with heavier and heavier blows before he was soon panting and dripping with sweat. Yet still, his corded muscles still thrummed with power and energy. Wiping at his brow, he stepped out of his bedroom- walking into the lounge.
On his couch sat Lily, tapping away at her laptop while Carter and Howard stood near a whiteboard with the entire layout of the facility on it. They were quietly arguing, but obviously not quiet enough.
"Boys, shut the fuck up." His eyebrows lifted as Howard and Carter quietened, Lily hardly ever swore. She must have been reaching the end of her tether too.
He leaned over the couch.
"Remind me why we couldn't just burst in again?" Scowling, she looked at him out the corner of her eye before fiddling with her ear piece.
It clicked twice and he heard voices through it, he spared a glance at her computer- putting the information together. Ah, must be listening to their tapes, He thought- pulling himself over the back of it so that he slouched on the couch.
"Not only is it a bad idea, Demos." She stressed. "We've never even seen the leader of the facility so we don't know what he's capable of, not to mention how many of the turned he has on his hands." She worried her thumb nail between her teeth. "We don't know where they have Cassidy or what their doing to her, though we all have a pretty good idea." Demos almost growled at the thought, choosing instead to run his fingers through his hair.
"But they wouldn't be expecting it." Rolling her eyes, she pushed at him.
"True they might not be-" Swiftly, she paused- her eyes narrowing on the footage.
The camera had moved.
Now, instead of pointing at the guards it was pointing towards a room- sealed heavily with a large padlock. There were no windows, only a large metal door hindering all from entering. Demos didn't even think it could open- but it did. Two large men walked onto the scene and pulled the door open. Instantly, Demos saw red. In the room, covered in filth and blood sat Cassidy and he was sure that if she couldn't heal she wouldn't be alive. Shuddering, he leant forward to graze his finger tip against the screen.
At that moment, Cassidy looked up towards the camera and Demos' heart practically stopped in his chest. Brown eyes framed with sooty lashes were dull, and he couldn't make out from the grain of the photo but he was positive she had been crying. It was a mocking of the dear-caught-in-the-head-lights look she'd first had when she'd seen him. It was enough for his heart to clench painfully and his teeth to grit, eyes watering as he steadily blinked them away. She was in pain.
