Lena walked through the old ivory doors to the Salvatore mansion, slamming them unsparingly behind her, she trailed her body over to the nearest leather sofa and flung herself on it, slumping over the arms. She closed her eyes, hoping that by some miracle she could take back the last fourty-eight hours.

"Stupid, stupid, stupid!" Lena shouted, hitting her pale palms off of her equally pale forehead, she stood up and started pacing the length of the living room, which was already starting to gather dust, well what else did she expect when she left Damon in charge for the weekend. Lena was surprised the family home hadn't been permanently turned into a brothel. Lena looked around the room desperately in need for something to smash, before she lost her temper entirely and went on a killing spree. out of the corner of her eye Lena spotted a half empty bottle of bourbon sitting on the corner of one of the many antique coffee tables. She reached over and picked it up quickly, before launching it at the farthest living room wall, but before she heard the satisfying sound of the smashing of glass, a hand had caught the bottle in mid air. Lena's eyes snapped up, as they fell upon Damon's face holding the now safe bottle of bourbon.

"We do not smash perfectly good bourbon" Damon said sternly, putting the bottle down carefully on a nearby table. Lena groaned loudly narrowing her eyes at her interfering disaster of a brother.  Lena's eyes scanned the room again hoping to find another object to smash, but to her disappointment she found nothing. "Do you want to walk me through why you were going to smash perfectly good bourbon?" Damon asked, in a rather condescending voice, which only added fuel to the fire burning deep in the pit of Lena's abdomen.

"I'm so fucking stupid!" Lena shouted, pulling her hands roughly through her now raggedy raven locks.

"you dont say" Damon said sarcastically, eyes half rolling in his head, Lena glared at him, wildly wishing she could shoot lasers out of her eyes right about now.

"Shut up" Lena said in annoyance, "I almost killed someone Damon, Its happening again I can feel it" Lena said a slight tear brimming in the centre of her iris, Damon's face fell in that moment, as the seriousness of the situation came obvious. "I let Rebekah manipulate me, again only this time I had a human with me" Lena fell back into the sofa, unable to control her legs with the emotion pent up inside her.

"Who?" Damon stated, in a deep tone, almost growling, his eyebrows in such a frown, almost covering his once sparkle in his green eyes.

"Kara Danvers, the preppy blonde" Lena said, the tear she was struggling to hide finally spilling onto her cheek. Damon moved towards Lena, standing only a few feet away.

"And she's okay?" Damon asked cautiously, not wanting to jump to any conclusions, Lena nodded her head slowly, Damon sighed heavily with relief as a small smile surfaced on his face. "Then its not happening" Damon said, looking down at his petrified sister, who was crying quietly, not wanting to draw any more attention to herself.

"Don't you get it Damon?" Lena shouted, through her tears, "I saved her" Lena paused trying to compose herself, "I saved her, they know she means something to me, they have leverage now" Lena said calmly, all hope stripped from her once bright, intelligent green eyes.

"What does she mean to you?" Damon asked, Lena shrugged her shoulder, her head tilted up to look at her brothers reaction to the very real, very bad news.

"They know I'm weak now" Lena confessed, the fear immanent in her eyes. Damon chuckled and shook his head.

"You are anything but weak Lena, You're way stronger than Stefan and i would say on parr with me" Damon paused, as he noticed a slight smile playing on Lena's features. "You're a vampire Lena Salvatore. be a vampire" Damon said confidently, the brightness in his green eyes contrasting the darkness in Lena's.

"I'm not a vampire, I'm Nicklaus' experiment and he will never stop hunting me" Lena paused, looking down to the floor regretfully, "I will never be free of him" she confessed sadly. Damon bent down in front of Lena so he was sitting on his knees.

"If he ever comes near you again I will rip his head clean off" Damon said, smirking at the thought. "And you are a vampire, the strongest one i know" Lena shook her head again.

"Im a monster" Lena said, Damon shook his head, a deep look of hatred in his eye for Nicklaus after making his sister feel this way about herself.

"No, You're a hybrid" Damon said quietly, just loud enough for Lena to hear.

"Same difference" Lena mumbled, fiddling with her fingers. Damon stood up hitting Lena softly on the shoulder.

"Why don't we fight it out like the old days, you need to get that anger out somehow without destroying my good bourbon" Damon said a slight chuckle in his voice, Lena raised her eyebrow, standing up as she did so. "Ladies first" Damon said as the sparkle returned to his eyes. Lena cracked her knuckles aggressively, suddenly launching forward with a powerful fist throwing a right handed punch which slammed into the side of Damon's jaw. The force pushed Damon back a few steps as he lined up to angle an equally powerful punch but before he could follow through the loud buzz of the doorbell rung out around the house.

"I'll go" Lena said, walking towards the old creaky front door, she opened it slowly and she was immediately drowning in pools of familiar blue eyes.

"I brought your clothes back"
