"Who?" Alex asked, putting the phone on speaker so Maggie could hear what was going on from her space on the couch next to Alex. 

"Lena Salvatore she just walked past the coffee shop" Kara half whispered through the phone, in case Lena had seen her and was now listening in on her conversation with her sister with her freaky super hearing. Alex's mouth flew open as she looked at Maggie with disbelief, who furrowed her eyebrows, confused at what Lena would be doing in the place where she sent her, Alex and Kara to be safe from all the vampire going on's. 

"Are you sure?" Alex questioned, unable to believe what her sister supposedly saw from behind the dim window of the coffee shop. 

"Yeah, Alex I'm sure, it was her, it was Lena" Kara said, as she walked out of the coffee shop, leaving money on the table to pay for her and Lucy's drinks, she stood on the street, looking in the direction of where she saw Lena walking, but of course she had vanished, Kara didn't have the best eyesight in any case, let alone on a bust street in the middle if New York.  

"Stay away from her Kara" Maggie's voice said strongly through the receiver, Kara sighed even if she wanted to confront Lena after all these years she wouldn't even know where to begin looking for her. 

"Kara, just forget about her" Alex said, backing up Maggie, Kara nodded her head, knowing that they were right, Lena broke her heart once there was no way she was going to let it happen again. "Hey, are you and Lucy still up for going out to that new fancy restaurant with me and Mag's tonight?" Alex asked trying to change the subject knowing full well that all Kara would be thinking about was that annoying, heart breaker of a vampire, or a hybrid or whatever the hell she called herself. 

"Yeah she's going to meet us at the restaurant after her case" Kara said, as she started walking down the street on her way back to her apartment, knowing that she had to do some work herself before heading out to the restaurant tonight. 

"Okay see you tonight Kar, don't do anything stupid" Alex said before hanging up the receiver, she leaned back on the sofa. just as their lives were beginning to get better and they were all finally moving on from the events of Mystic Falls, Lena had to show her face, Maggie stood up, stretching onto her tip toes. 

"I'm going to get another drink"

"So Lucy how's the latest case going? Maggie asked from opposite the table in the fancy new restaurant, taking a sip of red wine, her arm around the back of Alex's chair who was sitting next to her, Alex almost had a heart attack earlier on in the evening when she saw that a steak costed seventy-two dollars, although after downing a whole two glasses of wine, it didn't sound to bad a price. 

"Well at the moment we are winning but that could all change when the defence team get discovery tomorrow" Maggie nodded, knowing how hard it was these days to put hardened criminals away for good, Kara couldn't help but smile proudly of her girlfriend, she loved it when she talked about her career. Suddenly the waitress came over to the table forcing the flow of conversation to come to a halt. 

"What can I get for you?" The waitress said, taking out a notepad from her back pocket, Kara's mouth went dry and the hair on the back of her neck stood up faster than Usain Bolt finishing a a race, she recognised that voice, it couldn't be. She looked up at the waitress, the dim candles perfectly lighting up her pale face, she looked over in horror at Maggie who's fists were scrunched tightly up into balls and Alex who looked like she was going to throw up, and it wasn't just down to all the alcohol. The Waitress was Lena. 

"Babe?" Lucy asked, but Kara never answered her eyes were clued to Lena's smiling face, she could barley breath, "Babe?" Lucy repeated, putting her hand on Kara's arm. Kara looked down at the table, her eyes beginning to gleam over with the build up of new tears behind her eyes.  

"I'll give you some time to think about what you want" Lena said before walking slowly away from the table, Maggie and Alex made worried eye contact with each other while Lucy furrowed her eyebrows confused at what had come over Kara. 

"Katy are you okay?" Lucy asked, Kara breathed heavily before looking into Lucy's deep, calming eyes. 

"Yeah I'm sorry I just felt a little ill for a moment sorry if I scared you" Kara said, glancing over at her sister and Maggie who were whispering things to each other and Kara didn't think they were sweet nothings. 

"You're sure you're okay?" Lucy asked stroking Kara's cheek with the palm of her hand, Kara nodded, "Okay" Lucy said quietly giving Kara a small kiss on the cheek. "So Andie, Maria how's the wedding planning going?"
