The Lone Wolf

Lena felt her cheeks flare up, as she looked down at the ground nervously, not sure how to take the compliment, she hadn't been given many in her long life time. Kara giggled, she liked that she somehow managed to turn a deadly, powerful, mystical goddess of a woman into an embarrassed mess. Lena turned around suddenly, she heard a slight noise of rushing footsteps in the distance, knowing that whoever it was it wouldn't be good for them, she had to keep Kara and the rest of her family safe, that was her purpose, she would make that her purpose. 

"Run to the warehouse, get Maggie and Alex and hide, don't come out until I tell you it's safe" Lena whispered to Kara, pushing her in the direction of the warehouse, Kara nodded sensing that whatever was making Lena act this way couldn't be good, Kara lent in to Lena one more time wrapping her lips around the other woman's breathing in all she could of the woman. She pulled away slowly rubbing her nose against Lena's never wanting to let her out of her sight. 

"Please be careful" Kara said, looking deep into Lena's emerald eyes in that moment with the threat of something terrible happening Kara noticed that she couldn't even begin to imagine her life without Lena in it, life wouldn't be worth living as far as she was concerned. 

"I will, I promise now please go!" Lena said a little louder than before, Kara nodded, caressing Lena's cheek gently before turning on her heels and running towards the warehouse as fast as her human legs could carry her. Lena looked across the tall grass listening to the ever approaching sound of pattering feet, "where are you? you little piece of shit"

"Alex, Maggie we have to hide, something's coming for us!" Kara shouted, as she entered the Warehouse, Maggie and Alex looked up from the fire they were about to start, a look of fear over taking Alex's face especially. Maggie started scouring the room for a hiding spot. 

"Over there, underneath the boarded up window!" Maggie pointed to the corner of the warehouse, the three girls ran over and hid crouched down below the boarded up window, "Where's the monster?" Maggie asked looking at Kara's shaking blue eyes, that glowed red in anger at Maggie's question. 

"Don't call her that, she's saving our lives Maggie!" Kara growled lowering her eyebrows, Maggie rolled her eyes mumbling something under her breath. Alex's eyes were closed, not wanting to experience anymore pain that day. There was a sudden thump coming from the other side of the boarded up window that they were hiding behind, Kara squinted her eyes to look through a small hole in the old rotten wood so she could see outside, at what was happening. Alex and Maggie were wrapped tightly in each other's embraced trying to hide away from the deadly outside world but Kara was to busy fearing for Lena's life to worry about her own. 

"Oh my god" Kara whispered to herself in complete awe. through the little gap in the boarded up window Kara could see the outline of Lena lying on the floor, grabbing her side in pain with a tall, well built man standing over her, she could just about see the glint of his fangs in his mouth. "come on Lena, come on, fight back" Kara whispered again, watching the situation play out in front of her, unable to tear herself away from the window. Kara watched the body of Lena begin to break, twist and turn, she could hear her moans of discomfort turn quickly into angry, beast like growls and the facial expression of the man standing over her had turned from one of satisfaction to one of fear. Lena stood on all fours, now not in her well known human form but instead she was a wolf, a beautiful black wolf, the only way Kara could be sure it was really her was because she could still see the emerald eyes shining through the darkness. 

Lena  pounced on the man giving him a swift bite before, he used his vampire super speed to run off into the darkness. Kara stood watching the wolf that was Lena Salvatore for a moment, before Lena turned back into her human form, Lena could hear the crack of her bones bending and snapping back into place to form her perfect human body. Kara turned away from the window, a huge smile on her face. Lena walked through one of the old side doors to the warehouse, dusting off her dirty jacket after being tossed down into the ground by the powerful male vampire. Kara stood up from her hiding spot beside her sister and Maggie and stalked towards the brunette, pulling Lena by her top, so their faces were centimetres apart. 

"Is it wrong to say that I'm sexually attracted to your lone wolf self?" Kara said, teasing Lena by brushing their lips together, making Lena's blood pressure rise considerably, her cheeks turning a hot shade of red yet again. 

"We're leaving" Lena said hastily pulling away and changing the subject trying her best to look strong in front of Kara which was getting harder and harder when she insisted on wearing such low cut tops. "Maggie, Alex come on we need to leave!" Lena shouted before walking towards the car. Kara following in her shadow. 

"Where are we going?" Alex asked, her and Maggie standing up in unison to follow Kara and Lena out of the warehouse and into the car. 

"To see an old friend"
