"3!" Lena shouted and just as she was told Kara ran as fast as her legs could carry her through the dark woods, careful not to trip on the undergrowth as she did so, every single cell in her body was begging for her to look back, to see what was happening, if Lena was okay but she couldn't she couldn't do anything to slow herself down. Kara saw a bit of light in the distance, that must be the end of the woods that Lena was talking about, she was almost their, almost at the end of werewolf territory and at safety. When suddenly she charged straight into a pair of string arms, stopping her in her path to safety. She looked up expecting to see Lena's smug face after defeating a whole pack of werewolves single handily, but it was a man's face, a face she had never seen before but by the looks of things he knew exactly who she was.

"Hello Kara Danvers, you're coming with me" He said, bearing his teeth, of course he was vampire what else would she expect nowadays. He grabbed Kara roughly by her arm, almost pulling it clean out of her socket.

"Who the hell are you? Ow! Let me go! Now! My friend will tear you apart!" Kara screamed through gritted pain as he forced her to the ground with a powerful kick to the ribs. He crouched down so he was eye level with his latest pray holding her head up sadistically by her chin. She looked into his eyes, which were just pools of darkness.

"Your friend wouldn't be able to kill me if she tried, we're linked for eternity and she knows that, its mutually assured destruction and she's not selfless enough for that" The man said happily his eyebrows moving like they had a life of their own. That's when it hit Kara, the answer to who he was, it was the devil incarnate.

"You're Klaus" Kara muttered sadly, if what everyone said about him was true there was no hope for her to survive this encounter. He smiled, allowing her to know she was right about her inhibitions. "Lena!" Kara screamed for help as Klaus picked Kara up slinging her easily over his shoulder like she was nothing more than a sack of potatoes. "Lena!" Kara called again as she started to hit Klaus with all of her might repeatedly on his back and kicking his rib cage as hard as she could. Klaus threw her to the ground as she shrunk back in a mix of pain and fear. "Lena!" She called again, tears begging to fall from her eyes but she refused to look weak in front of this monster.

"Be quiet and come quietly" Klaus said hypnotically using his vampire power of compulsion to get Kara to comply with his every demand as he whisked Kara away without another word of protest, his grand plan was at last beginning to come together.

Lena heard Kara's screams as she finished slaughtering the last of the wolves, she ran as fast as she could to where she heard the blondes voice coming from, but she was stopped quickly in her tracks, she heard another voice echo around her, making her heart beat out of control, she recognised that voice, and it was not the voice of an old friend but rather that of the darkest of enemies.

"Klaus!" Lena growled as she pounced to where the voice was coming from but she was to late, he was gone and so was Kara, she smelled the sweet smell of her blood that was staining the floor of the wood, along with the scent of Klaus' aftershave, that he wore far to much of just like any bad guy ever, all he was missing was the excessive hair gel. Lena fell to her knees, what else could he take from her? First it was her freedom, then the remaining members of her family and now the girl she loved.

She had to get her back, she couldn't let it happen again, not to Kara, not to her. Lena got back to her feat brushing off the irresistible feeling to cry her eyes out right there and then, she had more important things to do, for all she knew Kara could be dead already, or worse Klaus could be using her in his latest science experiment, she had to think of a way to save her and fast. But how was she supposed to do that when  there was over a million places where Kara could have been taken? He wouldn't have been stupid enough to take her back to New Orleans, unless perhaps he wanted Lena to find them. He had never forgiven her for abandoning the cause they way she did.

"This is all my fault" Lena whispered.
