Kara grabbed onto Lena's cold fingers that were covered in Kara's fresh blood, the blonde was gasping for air, as blood started to fill up her lungs from the massive piece of wood that had been impaled into her abdomen, thanks to Katherine who was nowhere to be found as soon as Lena had made her presence known. Lena looked at the fading girl lying in front of her, not sure what to do, if she took out the wood currently inside Kara then she would bleed out and die, and by Lena's reckoning it hadn't yet been twenty four hours since she had given Kara her own blood after Katherine's first attack, which means that if she was to die then she would come back. A vampire. Not Lena's favourite plan. 

Or Lena could just give Kara more of her blood, but that still may not be quick enough to heal the blonde, which would mean she would still die and come back as a vampire, something that Lena was desperate to avoid, she didn't need a newborn following her about every second of every day. 

Lena was brought back to earth away from her quickly crashing train of thought by Kara squeezing her hand, Lena started stroking Kara's blonde locks reassuringly, Kara looked up at the brunette with big, glace blue eyes, but to Lena's surprise she saw no evidence of crying, maybe this Danvers kid was stronger than she looked after all. 

"Tell Alex I'm sorry" Kara spluttered out, Lena shook her head, she wasn't ready for Kara to give up, In truth Lena didn't know why she was so adamant that Kara couldn't die, she had killed many humans herself and she knew most of them better than she knew the blonde. Lena moved her shaky hands down onto Kara's cheek lifting her head up and sliding it carefully onto her lap, making Kara grimace, the slightest bit of movement bringing her pain. 

"Tell her yourself" Lena whispered, Kara smiled, but that smile faded quickly as she started spluttering again, Lena had to act fast or soon it would be to late to do anything. Kara's heavy eyes began to droop, "Don't you dare close those eyes Danvers" Lena growled out, but it was to late Kara's eyelids were already tightly closed, Lena could still hear the frantic beating of Kara's heart signalling that she was still alive. 

Suddenly Lena heard a loud scream from the hallway, her head jerked up, trying to locate the sound of the screaming, her eyes fell upon the oldest Danvers system who had fallen to her knee's in shock in front of her mothers decapitated body, the strong body to detective Sawyer stood behind her, feet stuck to the floor in shock at the horror story in front of them. 

"Alex!" Lena shouted, "Kara's dying you need to help me!" Lena continued, looking at the mess Alex Danvers had become learning that her parents were dead, Alex didn't move, instead she just broke down in another fit of tears. Maggie knelt down in front of Alex putting her hands on her shoulders, looking deep into her broken eyes. 

"I know this is hard Alex, but right now you need to help your sister, because if you don't then your going to loose her to Alex" Maggie said quietly, helping a shaky Alex to her feat. taking her strongly by the hand and leading her over to where Kara's Impaled body lay on Lena's lap. Lena nodded a quick 'thank you' to Maggie. 

"Alex I need you to grab a towel, or something to put continuous pressure on her abdomen, do you understand?" Lena ordered, Alex nodded unable to speak, she could barley move as she grabbed the tablecloth from what used to be the coffee table in the living room, pressing it against Kara's wound. 

"Good, good, now Maggie help me lift her off the wood" Lena said calmly, Maggie did as she was told, the two carefully lifted her off the giant spike of wood that was impaling her, while Alex did her job of keeping pressure to keep Kara from bleeding out.  "Alex you have that car I gave you?" Lena asked as her and Maggie held onto Kara's depleting form, Alex nodded slowly, tears streaming down her red cheeks. "Help me carry her to the car, Alex don't stop applying pressure to her wound" Lena said as the three made there way out of the Danvers' family home and into Alex's car, lying Kara down in the backseat, Alex sat beside her sister, so she could continue making sure Kara never bled out. Maggie jumped into the front passenger seat, as Lena jumped into the drivers seat and put the car into gear, driving as fast as she could. 

"I'm phoning the police" Maggie said with a shaky voice, adrenaline still flowing through her veins from what just happened. Lena grabbed the phone right out of Maggie's hands and throwing it clean out of the window before Maggie had a chance to call anyone. "What the hell Lena!" Maggie shouted angrily, scowling at the brunette, who was shaky herself. 

"were not phoning anyone, were going somewhere safe where nobody will ever be able to hurt Kara again" Lena mumbled out, putting her foot down on the accelerator as the car hummed, flying down the freeway as they exited Mystic Falls.  

"And where's that exactly?"
