Lena awoke from her restless night, cracking her back that had somehow managed to seize up at some point during the night, she looked around the little make shift camp that her and Kara had created last night when it started to get dark, all because Kara wouldn't let Lena commit murder in order to gain some sort of vehicle. She stood up, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes before noticing that the blonde wasn't anywhere to be seen. She started to panic, her undead heart racing between her ribs.

"Kara!" Lena shouted, but there was no answer, what the hell could have happened during the night? She was right there. "Kara!" Lena shouted again, louder this time and each time she called her tone got more and more desperate as much as the blonde annoyed her there was something that she was drawn to and now she felt like she couldn't live without. Suddenly Lena heard a twig snap from behind her, she lunged towards the noise, her fangs bared, ready to sink them into whoever or whatever dared to take Kara from her. Lena pinned the intruder to a tree, before realising that the intruder was in fact Kara.

"What the hell Lena!" Kara screamed in fear, as Lena let the blonde go, pacing back towards the centre of their makeshift camp.

"You can't just leave like that, without telling me, I thought something terrible had happened to you!" Lena shouted back, running her pale hand through her tangled raven hair. Both of the women's hearts were beating at incredible rates due to the amount of adrenaline that was running through their bodies.

"Your not my keeper Lena I can do what I want!" Kara argued, putting down the firewood next to the dying fire that she had just been collecting before Lena pinned her down, thinking she was some sort of enemy.

"Oh yeah, that's right I forgot that Kara who can't even open a jam jar can look after herself in the middle of nowhere, in known werewolf territory, my mistake!" Lena said sarcastically throwing her hands up into the air in frustration. Kara huffed, pouting slightly at Lena's comment.

"The jam jar was one time Lena!" Kara shouted back, ready to defend herself. Lena nodded raising an eyebrow and Kara could tell she didn't believe her.

"Of course it was!" Lena fired back, her eyes narrowed like she was about to devour Kara's soul without a second thought.

"You know something I should never have offered to help you in this mission, adventure thing it was a-"

"Shut up" Lena whispered, her vampire hearing picking up what sounded like a hundred footsteps coming their way. Kara raised her eyebrows, how dare Lena interrupt her like that.

"Don't tell me to shut up!" Kara said brassily, arms folded in annoyance, but before she could break off into another spiel about how this whole thing was a very bad idea, Lena put her hand over her mouth, sensing that there was no other way for Kara to be quiet. Kara tried in vain to push Lena away but she was planted there for good.

Suddenly out of nowhere a huge barking, growling pack of wolves ran towards Lena and Kara who were standing right in the middle of their camp site, the pack started to circle around them, ensuring that even with Lena's super speed there was no way they could both escape from this situation uninjured. Lena had completely failed to notice that it was a full moon that night, of course with her luck and Kara's loud mouth they would be able to track them without any issues.

"Are you happy now?" Lena asked, taking her hand away from Kara's mouth allowing her to speak again, the blonde looked immediately offended by the question.

"Like this is my fault" Kara said gesturing to the wolves who were still circling like sharks around them, making threatening strikes at where they stood, getting closer and closer.

"If you weren't such a loud mouth they wouldn't have found us" Lena muttered not taking her eyes off the predators who were eyeing them up, and for the first time Lena felt what her own victims feel every time she threatens their own lives.

"And maybe if you didn't stand and shout my name like a baby they wouldn't have found us either" Kara murmured right back. Lena shook her head, she truly was never going to live that down.

"Sorry for being concerned" Lena spat, oh she was so ready for a fight, if only Kara wasn't there she couldn't fight and protect Kara at the same time it was far to risky. Lena glanced up at the sky which was beginning to lighten, it couldn't be long to sunrise now, if only they could hold on long enough until the wolves transition back into being human, that would be their time to escape. "On my count get ready to run" Lena whispered quietly, Kara put her frustrations to the back of her head and nodded, "don't look back just keep running, the end of the woods isn't far" Lena whispered again and Kara understood what Lena was trying to say.

"I'm ready when you are" Kara whispered back, she and Lena could finish this fight somewhere else there was bugger things to worry about at this point in time.

"1, 2, 3...."
