"rise and shine!" jaebum banged pots and pans together as bambam and yugyeom untangled from each other and threw themselves awake.

"what on earth hyung?" bambam whimpered, "it's sunday, today's a holy day, so why am i up at the ungodly hour of ten in the morning?"

"—because today's our dorm-cleaning day!" jaebum faked the brightest grin as yugyeom cried in response and bambam just cocooned himself back into his blanket.

"i need my beauty sleep," was the boy's excuse as jaebum rolled his eyes.

"bambam, even if you hibernate for eternity; it won't help you one bit."

that caused the boy to rise up, his eyes wide, "hyung, how could you? you just broke my heart—"

"—what heart?" yugyeom mumbled through his sleep.

bambam gasped, "i can't believe i've been living with these inconsiderate human beings all my life—"

"is jaebum being an 'inconsiderate human being', again?" you could hear jackson's wail from the other end of the dorm.

"we're having a clean out day—!" bambam called out to complain in a crying manner.

"oh, its my next victims," jaebum left the maknae's room in a hurry.

in the next moment, he entered the place shared between mark, jinyoung and jackson. it was the biggest bedroom in the dorm, with a set of double wardrobes and even a desk at one end. jaebum glanced around their matresses, scanning to see who's awake or not.

mark seemed to be the only one not sleeping, he just lay there, wrapped in his blanket and scrolling through his phone. his morning hair was plastered to his forehead, and his eyes drooped heavily.

jinyoung was obviously sleeping. his body faced to the wall as he softly breathed in and out, and snored lightly.

and then jackson— well, he was imitating the world's most excessive coughing to pass with a sick card. but jaebum was having none of it, he clashed the cooking equipment against each other with a deafening slam.

"good morning," jaebum innocently folded the pot and pan behind himself, "breakfast is ready, and when everyone's done, we're cleaning this hell of a mess," he gestured all around himself.

groaning, jackson mumbled as his eyes fell asleep with every blink, "jaebum, if you're doing this just to impress youngjae—"

but the pot and pan returned, and no one heard the end of jackson's sentence or the reply to those words as jaebum left the room and continued to drag everyone out of their beds.

with a heavy sigh, mark got up, stretching and sniffling a yawn as he shuffled towards jinyoung who was a heavy sleeper. "jinyoungie, wake up—" he shook him until the boy stirred through his sleep. that done, mark raced yugyeom to the bathroom and won due to the younger boy stumbling over a shoe.

it was a while until everyone was functioning, in fact, jaebum had to do four rounds of pot clanging for bambam and jackson to get up. but in the end, the six indulged in a warmly made breakfast and then assigned each other roles. more like, raffled them out.

with a sigh of loss, jinyoung and yugyeom were to stay in the kitchen. jackson was in charge of hoovering and mopping the floors. mark had to take out the trash and clean the windows. and this left bambam and jaebum to take care of the hallway, the living room and the bathroom. obviously then, everyone would clean up their own dorm rooms in the end.

with endless complaints, groans and moans of some sort, the six of them proceeded to their accustomed jobs. music would play throughout the whole day, and a mix of everything sounded through the speakers.

bambam would occasionally put on girl-group songs and get distracted from cleaning as he'd dance his way through the whole dorm.

jackson then, would tease jaebum about his sudden determination to present their dorm as new as ever.

jaebum shrugged him off, lingering excuses in the air, "i got a text this morning saying that youngjae is ready to move in tomorrow, so i thought why not give him a good impression—"

"—of course, of course," the rest replied back.
