Heart Of Dragons

I heard a loud noise. A really annoying one. But I couldn't really make out what is it.

It almost sounded like metal being beaten with something, but I had no idea what. Wait... my bed frame edges are made out of metal. That doesn't make up - something's fishy...

I slowly started waking up to my senses and almost fully woken up I started to hear shouts by my head. "Skur! Fucking wake up!" I groaned. Whoever that was please shut up. I want to sleep a bit more. "Skur!!" I groaned even loader and mumbled "Don't you know how to shut the hell up? Let me sleep for five more minutes.."

"Guy's! She's awake. Help me pull her out of the bed and let's go!"

That made me snap my eyes open and the first thing I saw this morning was Aerinmus face inches away from mine blowing in my ear. What the hell he thinks he is doing. "The hell?!" I shouted.

"You're awake. Great." He walked away from my bed satisfied. "Be ready in a minute. We're going to wait for you outside."

What? What does he mean in one minute. We have like a hour or two left till we need to leave for-- Shit! It's already 8:44 and the first class starts at 8:55. 

I jumped out of my bed and hurt my leg because I am that stupid. "SHIT!!!" I screamed loud enough to hear Bolverk snicker on the other side of the door. There was a ladder you idiot, I mumbled to myself.

It took about thirty seconds to get ready and I ran outside of our dorm not looking back at the mirror. That resulted in me hurrying to class in my crumpled uniform and a nest on my head.

"You took your tim-" Everyone gaped at me when they saw me run into the hallway.

I was confused by their reactions and asked "What?"

Joreid was the first one to speak up "The hell happened to you?" surprising some of the other members by her atypical aura.

"Well I don't know. There's this thing called 'You could have woke me up earlier'. Haven't heard of it?" I directed the question towards all the other four faces.

"Actually..." Bolverk was next one to probably scold me. "We tried to wake you up for about thirty minutes. One by one. I'm glad and still surprised you woke up somehow in time. You sleep like a bear." He snickered at the end.

"Gee.. thanks." I breathed. "It's a school for dragon riders. You could have easily rolled me out of the bed on the floor or poured a bucked of ice cold water on me."

"We thought about that!" Hlif interrupted and then clasped her mouth shut. "Sorry..."

Bolverk nodded. "Yeah. But Aerinmus told that it's not what partners do."

I looked at him with amusement lingering in my eyes. "Really? Partners?"

Aerinmus widened his eyes not expecting to be outed like that. "Um... We have to be close to understand each other and help when needed. You know?"

"Ah-huh. Like I'm going believe that." I coughed out my chuckle. "Anyways... we're late. Let's go."

I felt someones presence besides me as I started walking to the stairs to get out of the campus. "Because of you we more like need to run there." Gnupa whispered in my ear and ran away.

"Aish. This kid, really."
